  3. awesome, yeah it was way too high... errr, vid no worky...
  4. i have not heard a Q by the way...
  5. both the BL and the Q will do fine and get quite loud. they may not be at peak performance. if you arent gain happy either will sound fine with a good clean 1000 watts or even less but can take plenty more. as for sound quality, the BLs can keep up with quite fast beats like you would hear in rock or metal. nothing passes by mine weather it be some hard ass jeezy or some metallica and im running 18"ers so i guess the smaller you go the speedier they may be, ive heard thats a myth though?... good luck with yer purchase, you should be happy with either one, i hear there isnt a whole lot of difference to the ear between the two...
  6. i guess i could have sent a few links, too. sorry... p.s. XL...
  7. i would personally just get another Q and put it in the ported box...
  8. nice upgrade of amps!
  9. i wish my jeep wasnt such a hoop...

haha, awesome... you knew inside when he first opened his mouth that you would shut him up in the end... i had a guy telling me that since they were 2 18"s that they have to be loud but 18"s are crap because they arent punchy or accurate. he knows all this because he plays a guitar some and wouldnt use an 18" for that setup because they are less than musical. well i proved him wrong in every aspect. they are punchy, damn punchy. accurate, its awesome how they can even keep up with heavy metal and fast beat stuff. low end with nothing but authority. and loud? sure, why not...
  12. whoops, my bad... tejcurrent's are 18"s and chad lee's are 15"s... but still, theres a price to pay if you want 150s or hairtricks or whatever is next...

    sick truck!
  14. are you competing with music or burps? are you competing at all? 2 BLs on 2000 watts is way loud for just a daily driver. just depends on what you want... its all in the install. for instance this guy hit a 151 in a tahoe with two hifonics amps and chad lee couldnt get over 148 or so with two orion 2500s going to 2 BTLs in the backseat of an accord...
  15. awesome numbers. i found a probe that i might try to shove my two 18s in and compete with. it should be fun and i can expect decent numbers after all the cabin room is consumed by MDF. 4000 wrms minimum...
  16. BIG sticker...
  17. good thread. lots of good info in here about clipping subs to death... but ya, the btl should handle any amount of clean power you can give probably.
  18. i would do the 2 12"s.
  19. i think maybe i qualify for free stuff... glad to see the forum is going good again... thanks...
  20. i am running two 18" Fi BLs and plan to upgrade my amp to a RF t3000bd sometime in the future but it isnt a rush. if these 3000 watt beasts are out by the time i upgrade i will get one over the RF. i was already thinking about two of the 1500s...
  21. what about batcap? they are pretty cheap online, less than 140. are they even equivalent to 1 good CA battery like kinetik or optima?
  22. totally sick dude... nice vids...
  23. Here is my original link with pictures. http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/i...?showtopic=7420 After a little more time with them I am still pleased. Build quality is so nice on these. They are nice and broken in now, the suspension feels alot less stiff then when I orignally got them. They are still in the same box, a TTB t-line enclosure. The sound quality of these from this box has been awesome so far, and yes, they do sound better these days after being broken in abit. I am going to build a much larger ported box soon just for comparison. I still have the same Concept CD-2410 amp but plan to upgrade later, I want a RF t3000bd. I tested a Memphis 2000d on them the other day and they really came to life with alot of extra clean power. I couldnt run the Memphis for long due to low electrical current but with the gain less than half it was feeding them alot more than my Concept. We played some of the radio, a Young Jeezy CD and a Godsmack CD and the sound was awesome at volumes the Concept was straining just to get to. I am 25 years old, I listen to alot of music, even stuff I grew up on. What pleases me the most with these is that I can play anything I want and expect it to sound good. I gave up on Metallica over the last year while I was stuck with a 12" Crossfire XT2. Now I dont just carry some rap CDs with me, I carry tons of CDs with me now. I really have nothing negative to say about them because the only times the sound coming from them hasnt been so pleasant has been with the volumes at high levels. With a good clean 3000 watts they should sound awesome at any level. And maybe they arent as speedy as maybe the 12" BL would be. They are plenty enough punchy but they try too hard to keep up with speedy drumbeats and whatnot like you would see from rock and roll. There are alot of us Texas boys that will be repazentin' before long. 4 of my friends are expected to purchase a combined amount of 10 drivers from you just from listening to my stereo. I am going to buy an 18" Q from you for HT and probably a pair of 12"s or 15"s for my little loudspeaker setup I am thinking about.
  24. box looks awesome...
