  1. eh? And what would you suggest noah? UPS's are uninteruptable power supplies...for computer systems...Thats what kinetiks were designed as.

Preamp was on, though I can turn the speaker outs off...and I do. Everything was attached properly, and everything was set right. We disconnected the sub RCA's and reconnected them and everything worked great. The BTL is a LOUD pucker. And the SAZ is beyond all expectations. This is a potent combination. I can't even imagine adding another amp to it. Give me a week.

The HU has 3 sets of 4v outs. And both of the sub channels test 0.0. Damnt. Well I know how MY Sunday will be spent.

ok...The sub is wired properly. I have double checked. I have 2 sundowns for this BTL (and a 200+A alternator) This is just to tide me over till the batteries can be installed. I'm gonna install the other one in a little bit. Can I measure voltage at the RCA?

    Should I try another amp?

Wired a 1500d to a btl. Everything is right but there's no sound. Amp gets power, lights up blue. No protection light. Speaker wires test 1.8ohm (dual 1ohm wired to 2ohm) RCA's SHOULD be good...nothing has changed. How can I test my RCA voltage? I have a multimeter. (which part of the RCA is POS and which is NEG?) Anything else I'm missing?
  7. To raise it from 1ohm to 2ohm final load?
  8. What about UPS's?

How much are they? Can someone sticky a price sheet for recones, and if possible, new baskets. I'd love to be able to change from 15 to 12...or if I get a larger car, to an 18". Thank you!!!
  13. I have used polyfil to fill an area that couldn't be silenced, packing as much as possible into the space. Which is an attempt to stress the offending panel into silence.

I think their dealer network is having the same problems.
  17. I love Bimmers. Good choice! This is my wifes 330Ci...with ~1000w and SSD
  18. a very large portion of 2 channel amps can't handle a 2 ohm mono load... And they shouldn't be used for powering a large power hungry sub.
  19. Bridge the amp at 2ohm. If the amp cant handle a 2ohm mono load...you need a new amp anyway.
  20. http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/i...?showtopic=7669 But you have less than a week. Way better than the amps you mentioned....imvho
  21. A friend of mine built a sealed "pacman" box. It was a very nice sounding box. Remember to make the subs far enough apart so if they have big magnets you can still install them. It was close on some subs that went into that box. Just make a sealed box, and then figure out your port area and length from that. Then port it with 4 or 6 inch pvc.

Talked to a battery suplier in California that sells EaglePicher, PowerSonic, Optima, and some smaller brands... He didn't have many good things to say about EaglePicher.
