Maybe for Jim"sq"J...but I think they sound better than Image Dynamics I used to run. NOTHING wrong with BTL sq...very respectable, and they get loud as piss too. edit: MY BTL is daily @ 31hz, and I love the way it sounds. Ask Jim what kinda BTL he has. oh-so-wrong chit dude, don't give advice when you don't know what you're talking about. 2 1 ohm voice coils in parallel means you will get a final load of 0.5 ohms. parallel everything and you end up with 0.25 SWEET ! 2 dual 1 subs will give you a final load of 1 ohm if you wire them like this : each sub's coils in series then wire the subs in parallel. He said he was going to use one sub per amp. I got series and parallel mixed up at 2:30 in the am(sorry). Chances are, if he knows the difference between series and parallel he wouldn't be asking the question in the first place.

I can't "help"...I'm not an SPL competitor......yet But those equations don't make sense. They divide feet/second by viberations/second...and get a distance/second...ummmm Houston we have a problem. Hell, for all I know those "equations" may make you the loudest muhfur in Texas...but they don't make mathematical sense. Goodluck LBow.

I don't think there's less distortion with higher impedences...I think the damping factor (how well the amp controls the sub) is what is affected, to help SQ. The "Bl" you refer to is actually Bl/Re...which obviously takes impedence into account.

What is your point also? How about before posting questionable comments, you ask some useful comments like: What's the SSF set to? or What's the HZ set at on the amp or What's the input level at?........Jeez, some of you do anything for a post count. Yup...anything +1 +2 BUMP!

Thanks for the info....I was unsure about the Ohm load. Also what is the best enclosure for the Q. I'm looking for deep base..... but MAINLY I want SQ and good response. Being that I'm getting two of them and they're going in a Tahoe, i assumed that combo would create good SPL's in a sealed box. If ported is better let me know. You might build a ported box just to see. I have used mainly sealed boxes, but (IMVHO) ported boxes are better for everything except extreme SQ.

LP's were LOUD! I had a pair of OA's in a sealed box. They were pretty loud too. Not like the LP's though.

How much is a set? I'd say you may just need a backup, oh wise one.
