  1. probably... steel is more expensive the ferrite magnet
  2. lol it really all depends on what you have and such. Its always nice to set the crossovers on the deck for extra protection and there's nothing wrong with using the eq as well. I think what your friend was getting at is pionner has the eq set to "powerful" on most decks... I agree that should be changed to flat or custom tuned by you.
  3. ya i know i thought id ask because i was surprised with american bass being there last year.
  4. cool just wonderin... if you decide to show up ill be sure to stop by the booth

  6. lol reminds me of the ppi 2400 i have in my car. except i put the plug in backwards on accident
  7. The mosfets are actually the parts that get hot lol maybe i need to shut my noob ass up then... ive seen many blown fets in my time but i dont do any of the amp repair (just observe for fun) so im sorta just guessing. I wouldnt think they really get hot because the only ones ive seen that were broken either look fine or look like they exploded. Nothing like the plastic melted or anything of that sorts
  8. ya the amp getting too hot sure but i was talking about the part itself.
  9. i dont know if heat causes a mosfet to blow.. either way thou theres probably something else wrong in there too. I think ill withdraw my offer to buy the amp thou. most amps can be fixed but the possibility falls way down when someone "attempts" to fix it
  10. x2 but its boosting my ego on my electrical system a little much
  11. if its that short even 8g is probably excessive

  16. go with lux liner or lux liner pro over the overkill. ive played with all 3 and believe me its worth the price
  17. right... i just need an amp to handle that voltage
  18. tried a sundown but jacob only recommends 18 and kinetik recommends a charging voltage of 18.8 running it at 12v for now. or not really any more since the wreck
  19. what amps are u running on the 16v side? the 40.1s? and is your floating voltage around 18.8?
  20. nah i only have 2 of em on the ohio gen. the stock battery was replaced with a caquest NGT extreme
  21. Im wondering if Tirefryr gets an i told ya so?.... i just got in my first wreck today. driving to work an old lady pulled out of a parking lot right in front of me. i slammed the brake and swerved but couldn't avoid it. sucks
