  2. and what about the cone shape? how does that affect the sound ? flat cone \ "boobi" style cone \ square , and such there are many cone shapes and weird "addons" on the cone , any expansion about this?
  3. i just use a Bosch 12V blue cordless drill best thing i have ever purchased for daily things [at my work] battery life is great [especially when u get two in the case] and fairly lightweight for car use [audio boxes and such], its the best i had

    Dayum! what went wrong?
  5. better navigation and flexibility on the website now:D thank you brad! great to see the website is developing:)
  6. sundownz is right. 1500 divided by 12 is 125 watts. Since I know that the sundown 1500 can put out a lot more than 1500 watts@ 0.5 ohm. Thats going to be a lot of power for those 8's. Remember that they are only 175 watts rms each. Think, 2000/12 =166 watts per sub! Since I have a great electrical system. The amp should be able to preform to its maximum! ahhh my bad didnt see that "12 subwoofers" part:) i thought hes running a pair whoopsy:D i think its gonna bang!
  7. am i seeing right? he is trying to drive 125 RMS each woofer with the 1500D ? i think the numbers are just not right here
  8. people here in israel tell me the same thing , i got two Q 15" and because they are heavy i paid heaps for the shipment , but it was all worth it everyone was telling me get an IDMAX blah blah blah i bugged them off , saying i got 2 BETTER subs and 15" for the same price i couldve get the IDMax Fi ftw! nothing beats it per price\service\performance\quality ... well.. you got the point! thanks alot from Israel while i kick the asses of little puny idmax subs;)
  9. Jacob , i referred to this question , it does look kinda odd or he just aint asking it right
  10. are you sure u need to wire the two +'s ? might wanna check that again.
  11. awesome choice! i myself run 2 15" Q's in a sealed box lovin every second will post a review+pics soon enough;) Fi is teh pwn! [LOL]
  12. with what meter? Located where? Tone or music? I just think you should save some $ and buy a bL which will reach full extension under that power for sure! Termlab. Arkansas. Tones 46-50hz. in the fi section...theres a thread to post your score. I explain everything there. i think he meant where was the MIC located in the car
  13. Pressure spot in the box? could u explain it a little more? i am building my box right now , and u got me scared;)
  14. i see on the 1000D thread that sundown is working on some more amps like the 75.2 250.2 50.4 any clue on the timeline for those ? release dates and such? subs aswell i think im not the only one interested in those:D Eli.
  15. I just recently got my two Q15" must say , that two months before my purchase i decided to talk to Scott about the Q's [just like i knew what im going to get] well , im from israel , and not used to this kind of service from the first email that i got answered by Scott i started talking to people on how good the service is from Fi , that the owner of a company answers you emails in no time. scott answered every email i sent him , helped me get best international shipping prices , took great care of the shipping boxes of the subs and even threw in a couple of extras Scott actually helped me SAVE money from customs here helped me decide what box i want to build for the pair of Q's Fi got one of the best costumer service i have met around in years! its like i just want to keep sending mails to the Fi crew but i know how much they are busy no need to bother too much thank you Fi! im going to send some ladies your way as a sign of gratitude;) LOL thank Scott Shawn and all Fi! Eli.

  20. oh now your telling me that good to know that the Q's can be updated aswell , as the above asked , is there an audible difference between the options? are the new options good for SQ ? now you got me thinking how to get the new ones 1500D each sounds good to me
  21. Besides the rear view mirror shaking a few db difference , did u notice any audible improvements by switching amps?
  22. Thank you very much Scott ! realy good tips you gave me there i need to get the subs to get to know them better , and maybe change a few boxes and see what they can do while sealed maybe ABC box will come eventually;) who knows i drive a Honda CRV 98 , and have about 10CF i can spare if i must but im trying to keep it below the window line i can already see myself building 5 different boxes for the subs mmmm chocolate MDF
  23. thanks for the fast reply im pretty sure my front stage would carry the bass forward so basically i need to build a bigger box? i can squeeze about 3cf per subs in my car, would this get me better results? im looking for good linearity at at the low ends , about 30hz is what im looking for, while still remaining in a sealed box. thank you for the quick answer Scott Eli.
  24. hey guys , i recently ordered 2 15 Q's , am going to run them off of a single SAZ-1500D , with 1500rms to both subs. i want to build the box before the subs get here , and had to ask for advice i noticed on the Fi website that the recommended size for each Q15 is 2-2.6 CF. i can give each 2.5CF . will i get good lows? will i lose anything? not enough power to them? im not planning a LOUD LOUD system .. just loud and clear;) thanks. Eli.
  25. and what about a Q15 and Sundown saz-1500D combo? can a single Q handle the SAZ at 1 ohm daily? anyone tested this ?
