Which would you rather have?
I voted 2 12s ported, but afterwards I realized it was 12s not 15s ported, which would have been my choice. I misread I like the 15s sealed, just because I think it'll have great SQ, and spl wise it'll still be great. I wish I could change what I voted for, but since I cant on the poll, I'm stating it here: 2 15s sealed.

Screws?
I think the course screws hold the sub in place pretty well too, and don't strip out as easy as some of the finer thread screws. If you have access to an air nailer I'd just use that with some clamps till the glue dries, they make things a breeze. Good luck, you should post a build log if you can.

What would you do (or have)
With the power of that amp, why not try 2 18" SSDs? or maybe 1 18 BL loaded? Depending on what kind of space you have, that would be what I would do. If you were willing to get more power that would change things though. either would be good options.

is it possible?
Good luck! hopefully you wont do all that experimenting to find out that sub/port forward is the best configuration in there anyway

Quick Q.
If it says anything, I like the decimals I was trying to get a license that required a test, and oposite of what most say, the math portion saved me Damn college dropout lol....

Single BL 10" to 2 10" SSD's
Tell us how it turns out, I'd love to hear a bit of a comparison from someone who has owned both in the same vehicle

Wire efficiency?
While 8 guage will most likely get you by, I'd go to 4 guage to help with any current drop that could be resulting from too small a guage of wire. If you want to know, take a digital multimeter (if you don't have one you can pick one up cheap at lowes) and measure the votage at the front (battery) of your vehicle. Then measure the voltage at the amp with it cranked up as loud as you ever listen to it. If it's much more than a few 10ths of a volt I'd definitely upgrade.

Best SPL Sub
X10 on the doubling the power. I loved mine with 2000, but they got so much better with 4k. Yeah, I would be concerned with the 'getting used to it'. That's a baaaaad thing. The wife tells me she wants to make sure I'm able to hear when I get older because of how loud the subs I have now are, and I've been talking about getting 2 more. Be careful with your hearing, you can get hearing aids, but I've seen an 80 year old man cry because he couldn't talk to his nephew (me). He was a great man, and had a lot to say when he could hear to carry on a conversation. (couldn't really afford good hearing aids.) I'd def. give those btls 3k each though, 4k if your want to compete.

is it possible?
You keep saying not lose anything, are you currently breaking 150 on music with the 15 you have now? If you have the port sort of snaking through the box, wouldn't that act as bracing in any area where you'd need a dowel?

pressure clamps back hatch?
Good luck, love to see people throwing up good #s with Fi, gives me hope for when I get metered next

pressure clamps back hatch?
Do you know what you're metering now? Like I said, just try it, if I'm wrong I'm sorry for steering you the wrong way. I gain around 1db by opening my windows, and it makes my cd player skip much sooner to have my windows cracked open, and I've heard similar things from almost everyone I've talked to (that would be in the class you're talking about or lesser). Just trying to help, good luck with the clamps. Why not try home depot or lowes.

BTL18 in trunk
If you want to fit an 18" BTL, I'd say a cadillac or lincoln would have enough room to fit the box. It just depends on where you plan on putting the extra batteries and amps. I'd decide what you like, then measure the trunk space and figure out if you'll have enough room. I like some of the old school cars, and they could fit A LOT of stuff in there. I like old cadillacs.

Fi stickers
Go to a custom decal place where you live. You can expect to pay between 0-$100. Another member has a large copy they said they can get reprinted for ~$35. I'd wait for them to post.

Fi X availability
So... would it be a good idea to keep an eye on the Fi site, or the AA? July... :D Ominous

Multiple Sub Purchase
8 rf3000s is somewhere around 25kwatts. That's a LOT of power to pull even off of 5-600amps of alternator. Is this going to be just a show truck for his business or something, because the amount of space 8 12s, 8 3ks, and batteries will take up will be tough squeezed in there. I can't understand doing a bajillion little subs, but that's my preference. It would be MUCH more practical to try that with BLs, with two per rf3k. If he only keeps one 260a alternator... he can plan on killing some of that beautiful equipment. But if there's enough $, where there's a will there's a way.

pressure clamps back hatch?
ever get metered w/ your windows cracked vs shut all the way? chances are you're better off w/ the leakage. some people actually remove their weather stripping to help. I'd meter it both ways to see if you might be hurting yourself. I dont know what they have clamp wise, but you could use metal brackets bolted in if it isn't something you have to open all the time- and dont care about asthetics.

Single BL 10" to 2 10" SSD's
Was the BL 10 ported and now the ssds will be too, or the bl sealed and the ssds ported? Honestly if everything else is the same you would gain 3 dbs at the most (unless the difference between the two will change something), which is not a huge jump in output. Maybe someone else with a bit more experience could say more about it.

sundowns 1500 vs kicker 1500
Yeah, not as pleased with the cdts as I could be. Not bad though. Not as sharp as the Infinity kappas I had before. I'm thinking about some MB quarts, not sure what line though. I'm going to be buying a newer tahoe/yukon this week if it works out, which of course will need some work (new tint job, new alternator(s), etc). Frontstage will have to suffer for a little while. Didn't even think about the wagonized thing lol

louder?
You should be good. It's always been just over a week for me.

Help with BL 18" box
Sounds pretty good. I might be willing to give it a bit more port area, but unless someone else with more experience on the direction of port/subs has something to add, it sounds like it'll be good. I like my 34-35hz tuning. Still sounds great on the lows, but a lot of people seem pretty happy tuned around 32hz. It'll be retardedly loud either way you tune it, but I think your current plans should be fine- its your call. Good luck!

Low numbers, what should I try
I'm sorry, I don't follow? 23/4=5.75 each.
