  1. Yea man. I'm currently taking 2nd year mechanical engineering. But I digress. Build looks fantastic so far! Looking forward to see where you take it! Mason
  2. Wow, just read over the whole build. Looks good man. Kind of creepy how similar our tastes are. I got the exact same mids and tweets. Having similar issues with tweet placement, and motor/basket size of the mli. My last midterm is today, what are you taking in school?
  3. Those rubber gaskets are designed to have the screws go right through those holes. Any reason why you used washers instead?
  4. The former. Each driver would see 1ft^3. Basically, you can take the box volume that an individual driver would need, multiply that by the number of drivers, and that would give you the box volume for all the drivers.
  5. Any news on these guys?
  6. I think you have it backwards, but yea, you get the idea. As for how they sound, well hopefully you will find out soon enough! I'm happy with mine.
  7. Alberta is awesome you haters haha. I think I might get a single IXL 15.4 to swap for my 2 MAW 15s. I don't need all that output Hopefully it won't need as big of a box. Can't wait!
  8. I'm at the U of A (University of Alberta in Edmonton Alberta Canada haha) I'm taking a BsC in mechanical engineering. Just started my second year yesterday. So far so good
  9. YAY!! Just what I wanted to hear. Looking forward to both.
  10. realmofexcursion.com should have a couple vids there.
  11. Any new info on these? Or the IXL line in general??
  12. Whoa whoa... how would the enclosure differ if it's closer or further from the wall??? I'm not suggesting your wrong, I just want to know. Thanks. And sorry for posting it here... not very relevant, but I'm too curious. I also have a bunch of MLIs so I'm curious what other people are doing.
  13. Haven't you had that MJ for a lil while now?? I remember you showing pics of it...
  14. I don't understand why there is a sudden interest in the MJ... All these new drivers (esp IXL 18) and everyone is suddenly interested in the MJ... Kinda makes me want one...

Props on the oppo and the stoli!!
  16. I can't believe that nobody has bought the unnamed proto! Someone buy it because I don't have a need for it, but it's damn tempting haha.
  17. x2 on the 880. By 880, M5 means pioneer premier DEH-P880PRS if you were confused. Just installed mine a few days ago and I couldn't be more happy. The adjustments just make all the difference. Good luck!

That means that your order has been placed, but he hasn't gotten to it yet. You will get an email notifying you when he gets it. If it's in stock, then it will go in to the processing stage. In the processing stage he does burn-ins etc and ships it off. Don't worry, just be patient. The reason Mark hasn't got back to you yet is most likely the same reason your order is still pending. Enjoy the subs and keep us posted on your build

    ETA???
  21. Thanks for the info Snoopdan! Sure is a nice looking driver. I wish I could use it somehow... I'lll figure out a way... haha
  22. Haha. Slow down here guys. The mb quarts are just so I won't have to listen to my stock system anymore. It hurts my ears to turn on my stereo haha. I plan to go active when I get some time to do all of that, but it looks like a bit of work that I don't have time for yet... I have a bunch of Mach 5 MLI-65s. Any ideas on tweets?? I was thinking Seas 27TAFNC/G or Seas 27TFFNC/G. They will need to cross around 2500 or so I imagine.
  23. Yea. You guys have me a little scared haha. I have been reading up on grounding and noise reduction. I ordered some MB quart speakers today. The polks I wanted were on backorder... So I'll have the 880. The quarts. I have a sundown SAE-1000D and... because of space... I have 2 boxes. One with 2 MAW-10s and the other with 2 MAW-15s. That way I'll have the 15s in most of the time, and if I take a trip or something, and need more space, I will throw in the 10s instead.
  24. Yes, and any help is appreciated. So thanks. But I guess all I can do now is install it and hope for the best haha.
  25. Well I live in Canada. I probably would get a US warranty from pioneer... but that doesn't do me much good. I think I do have a warranty from the seller, but shipping costs make all that stuff pretty impractical. I can't imagine that 2/3 of the units they sell are faulty, so hopefully if I do have any problems, it will be install stuff that I can fix, and not the unit itself. BUT I won't know until I get the thing and throw it in... which is hopefully soon I'm excited. This is my first install ever. I'm just happy that some of the guys on here that know their stuff, and I respect, are using this HU.
