  1. Nothing for 09, but I have something brainstorming for '10
  2. People have been doing it for years without one............. Please reread the underlined part of his sentence. He clearly stated that it can be done without one, just merely pointed out that it can be easier in certain vehicles to help create the effect. (at least that last bit was my interpretation).
  3. In the 40hz or so range for most of them, not much music out there that's in the sub 30hz range. (Telarc cd's with classical music/ jurassic park are in teh single digits.)
  4. It's an upgrade from factory wiring, but if you rip it out later just to do 0/1 than you really didn't save any money in the process.
  5. legal just means all doors/windows closed, mic is on windshield about 3" above dash, on passenger side.
  6. Was this legal or outlaw?... what organizations are you looking to run in , and what vehicle do you have? Good #'s regardless for that power level and on a solo 10". Not to mention with a daily box, and not a burp wonder box.
  7. 20* is summer vacation weather ;p

    to SSA!
  9. build box in trunk, lolz I just know their trunks are weird.
  10. Looking good, and can't go wrong with sundown.
  11. SSD hands down, has cone area, and yea a solid 32-34 hz tuning would be good.

I'm just going to say that lower frequencies require more power and more cone movement, because you are physically moving tons of air to reach these frequencies. SO you would need a) TONS of Displacement b) a lot of energy In a car audio application, hell even most home audio applications, 150+ dB's at 7hz is impractical, and honestly it has been discussed and proven implausible before, it's a great science fiction weapon, but I have yet to see anything capable of producing this.

Ohh, math assignment: How much force would be required to create a 7hz tone at 100dB's than how much at 1000dB's. Humanly impossible if you ask me.
  14. Friends don't let friends kill their audio-equipment via under-voltage protection.
  15. Black with white port sounds nice to me
  16. Werd. Mine is pretty thin, and not bad looking for her age for sure... There is a reason for this. Remember when glasses used to be ugly? They had hot ophthalmologists so that the teenage/ mid life crisis males would wear their glasses just to get a better look at their doctor, and she would always show her approval.
  17. Have to reinstall my winisd pro :/ Still too many variables to give you a conclusive answer though, and none of us know how this subsystem will interact with the transfer function of your vehicle. Theoretically the ported box should be more efficient, in the case of maximum sealed volume, vs minimum ported, you will see that the sealed box will have a more linear output, deeper is also an opinion but I would bet that would go to the ported set up. This is all estimations though, I can't just pop in the #'s and get a decent graph for response at the moment. Either way you will love these subs, they are known for their impressive output especially down low.
  18. Center should be when you close your eyes and the sounds appears to come from the center of your dash, and if the set up is really good it will sound as if it is coming from the hood ornament.
  19. All good choices, imo. I would have to go rl-p for this too though, the thing is a low end beast.
  20. I've had a first gen turbo'd, and played with srt-4's both hella fun to drive.. Although srt-4 exhaust is just plain bad ass, and that thing screams. I had the same color on my 98 2-door.
  21. I think it should be ok, if you are careful, ie don't drive around at full tilt for hours on end.
  22. How old is he ? 9 months. You are almost there, granted you won't be able to have a nights sleep every night, but the regular bed times and all that stuff comes soon.
  23. or just leave the old speakers in place, and make sure they aren't wired anymore
  24. I <3 the color, and there is nothing wrong with a fast neon... but who wants a fast when when you can get loud as f@#k.
