I would do four Q 12's and give each a sundown sae-1000d or saz-1500d.

Keep deals up like this and I will get my sundown products from you with my new woofers (LOL j/k...) What would I do with a sae-1000d... Can anyone say 8" mid-bass's getting 500w each?

I always hate it on my nights off when random people im me asking me tons of audio questions. By the time I stop talking and have converted them towards ssa/sundown/tc sounds or Fi or SSA or Stereo Intergrity etc.../ knukonceptz/ alternators before capacitors etc... it is usually 6 am

Well 16 hours later and the truck is done (just need to adjust the amps a tad.) Going back outside now and finishing up some sanding work I still have left to do while everyone and their mother is asleep at my house. Will hopefully get 2 good hours of sleep before the comp. Leaving at 8 am, and will definitely have some results/ pics etc from tomorrow's comp. Will post pics in my build log soon.

And I sure hope my SSA stickers arrive in the mail today, I know mark sent mine out with the first batch.

I be off to bed. Have to finish my wall today and wire my buddies truck on top of doing all of the finishing work on his box. Maybe I will install his satellite radio, amp his front components and do the big 3 while I have the truck today. Than some testing on getting it loud enough for sunday.

I would love to see those 18's with at least one 18" from TC sounds (3k, 5200. lms5400 etc..) there's no tc 3000 18. There is no TC 5200 10" driver either, but that is what they are cooking up for me for spl.

ridiculous and illogical? the test numbers posted for the sundown 1500d were done so by someone on THEIR payroll. Similar to how the DD Z1 puts out 6000 rms on soundpressure.com. Except morons actually believe it because the sundown amp is a lot more affordable. A strapped pair of 1500d's has been tested to be 2.5db below a z1. And generally the z1s are known to put out a real world wattage in the 2000-3000 watt range depending on voltage drop, box rise etc. So in REALITY which amp is better dollar per watt? Sundown amps might be decent for beginners but I dont understand what their claim to fame is about running at 0.5 ohm daily. There are probably 100 other amps in the world that can do this no problem. And make more power. If you want to buy sundown go ahead....but dont pick up a lump of chit and try to tell people its gold. That is quite hilarious considering that I am not on the sundown payroll, And my baby 1500w amp benched 1721.43 watts rms on 12.8 volts. Granted that this is one of the amplifiers and only at 1 ohm, but strapping a pair and running .5 ohms per amp will produce higher numbers. It is funny because In the northeast, their are next to none in people running DD amps at spl comps. I know for a fact that there are people that have run their saz-1500d's at .175 ohms. Can you do that with a DD z1 and a 18v power supply, aint gonna happen. DD still hasn't repaired my DD M1 and they don't intend to yet.

I will probably see it monday morning. My weekend is booked. Fri- Start truck box, start wall, work Sat- Glass wall, build amp rack, do some testing and possibly build a higher tuned box for sunday. Sun- dB drag comp

Use a jig saw for the sub whole, and fiberglass and ductape are your friends. Not to mention caulk and several other methods for sealing up messed up cuts.

Those subs will get loud enough, but my suggestion would be to go with the tc9's if you want a solid ported driver, or tc1k's which work very well in most boxes. There is of course the tc 10" oem which I have and love. And that sub would love 1 cu. foot per chamber and get loud for you.

Ouch godsmack, I am 6' nothing 298 lbs and 17% body fat. Damn beer belly without any alcohol. I have solid legs and a pretty decent upper body, but damn being injured makes working out impossible. 3 weeks without lifting anything so far. I can't even run. Walking is just boring... Can't wait to have my back back so I can knock off more fat. I haven't lost 8 lbs in 6 months but 4 pants sizes and 4 % off of my body fat. I think I am gonna buy a table saw tomorrow I really need one, anyone have any suggestions for the 200$ price range (give or take a bit.

Or my personal favorite, using 2 sets of 2 channel rca's for a four channel amp and forgetting to make sure the wires stay next to each other. Fun whine can be found there as well.
