  1. lol, it will most likely soften up some after breaking in.
  2. Welcome!
  3. You just gave me an idea, the day i get my btl 12" I am gonna go to the deli&brew and get a double meat roast beef, i think it might actually be taller than the btl.
  4. My personal favorite 8" driver, although not a sub-woofer is the 8" mid-bass out of a set of Hertz Space k8L components. It is like 2 inches deep, 93 db sensitivity, extremely real sounding, great frequency extension etc, etc. It weighs less than a lb, but can handle 200 watts. So for the fun of it, i will include a picture:
  5. even in sealed boxes i use the subsonic at about 5 hz below tuning just to keep the sub from getting un-linear and sloppy.
  6. I won't debate that one bit. I built my last car, all out of pocket, even had a shop do the install, with labor it cost me 8.5 grand. I had 1000 dollars in wiring, 2400 in enclosure etc... This time around I am doing all of the labor, so it will cost me a lot less, but trying to get a trunk car to even be competitive at single point events is going to be hard, hopefully next year if i can get a good resume going this year, i can land something with knukonceptz, because by next year i should have a crx too!

damn... Shooter what kind of car do you have??? I have seen a pair of 15's in a cavalier before.
  8. sent a friend request, and if you don't know who i am by my myspace name, than you have got some problems, lol.
  9. ohh, and being willing to spend a good chunk of change always helps. I will probably spend 2-3 grand on amps this year, all together about 8 grand on car audio.
  10. I would have to disagree to some point. I would say that it is really easy to earn yourself on a companies team, if you have the knowledge, determination, and attitude that that company is looking for. I landed a spot on Team Sundown Audio this year for my street A car, and i have never competed in spl before in my life. Before this year, i was an sq nut.
  11. Hey Jacob, just wondering how much time it takes from order, to delivery on average for an amp. Will be ordering my first Saz-1500d tomorrow. MJ
  12. the good news about hatch-backs get louder easier in most cases. I am familar with your trunk, i'm working with a first gen neon.
  13. Single 12" q ported with a sundown sae-1000d.
  14. according to Fi suggestions you should have about one 4" aero port per cubic foot of box.
  15. 2 q 10" or 12" ported should easily fit in that trunk of yours. Will sound amazing and get pretty loud. If you are looking for a deal on amps to power them, than look at the sundown forum for the SAE-1000D Pre-sale and pick up two of them.
  16. fi-4 rear veiw-0 fi-1 windsheild-0
  17. Awesome work Jacob, just let your team know when we can get them!
  18. looks sweet
  19. With the two hifonics you are only seeing 2200 watts. b/c you are at 2 ohms per amp.
  20. Stratus, i will be running Fi Btl 10"s in Street A for team sundown, yes they are being produced, but not for daily driving set-ups, i.e. not fully loaded.

I think this smiley describes his post...
  22. i always forget that parallel subtracts and series adds.
  23. That one, shows my infinite noobishness , at least in this case if he had followed my directions he would have wired up instead of down... for the correct.
  24. audio-neon replied to audio-neon's topic in General Fi
cool, just let me get my sundown amps in first, than the subs will follow I hate having loan payments, what i pay in loans every month would equal a new fully loaded 12" BTL
