what were the specs of the box it was in? lol 3 years later and you ask me this. If my memory serves me correct 4 cu ft at around 32 or 33 hz on a SAZ-1500d.. Was a nice sub indeed just didn't like it as much as my 2 12" ssds...

I had a RE HC rebuilt by Scott awhile back and when he did it, he did provide me with break in t/s parameters. If I provide the parameters could you give me a recone kit to match?

I am looking to slowly get back into car audio as the bug has bitten me once again. I don't want to do too much and rather take it slow and do something with what I have before I go out buying subwoofers. I have 2 RE HC's one is a 15" and the other a motor with an attached 15" basket. I also have a MD Napalm motor also with a 15" basket attached. I originally took out everything out of my car because of weight issues and having problems with my suspension. I have fixed my suspension problems and I am getting sick again from not having any bass. Ultimately I want to run sundown amps as I have before in the past but I am not certain on what I want to run. I have a plan on running no more then 4k watts. My ideas thus far have been 2 saz-1500d, 2 saz-2000d, or 1 saz-3000d. Currently my electrical is as follows: HO 200 amp alt, deka g34 up front, and batcap 2k in the rear. I also need to decide on what 4 channel I want to run. I will be running 4 mids and 2 tweets. I have a pair of AA polys, 1 pair of vifa tweets, 1 pair of phoenix gold rsd 2 way mids. I am thinking of getting the napalm reconed to a 12 or reconing the RE HC's to a pair of 12s. I ultimately want to sell all of them as I rather get me some Nightshade 12's and be done with it all. If I recone any of them subs I would like to get the bl as high as possible while keeping a fairly low fs. I want to run about 1500 watts to either of them. Any suggestions Jake?

Good to see some more DC, MD, VA people on the forum. I don't have a Fi Q but an RE hc always open to meet new folks from the forum in the area. You should check out next weeks comp at US Audio out Glen Burnie next Saturday.. Randy probably will be there with his truck that has the Fi SSD's. I live in the PG county area myself so im a bit in between the metropolitan area.

The BL is a great sub but I jus couldn't get it to hit the low notes like it would with the upper bass freqs... Tried like 3 different boxes and I would gain in the low end of things but just wouldn't give you that deep knock that I was after.. So I sold it as I was strapped for cash.. I wish I would have gotten a Fi Q though instead. I am almost certain that that xmax friendly sub would have made me more than happy...

you wanna run that by me again skippy? Ummmmm It lacked low end authority.... Im not saying it didn't have any low end just didn't have the low end that I was looking for... Im sure the Fi Q would have suited my tastes more.. Before the BL I had a pair of 12" SSD's with copper coils and they had awesome low end authority... BL is a great sub that I won't take away from it just didn't appeal to my likings overall..

Great subs.. Loved the output it had above 38hz anything below it just wouldn't hit with authority.. I loved the 15" BL I had but needless to say it lacked the low end authority that I crave for from a subwoofer...

Darn it I knew I was forgetting something to tell the guy I purchased from. Unfortunately no because me and Scott only briefly talked about it and it wasn't set in stone exactly what we were doing with the motor. We talked about doing a few extra things to it so I wasn't able to tell him to put those instructions in the box..

I am looking to send in a RE HC motor that I just purchased. I have talked to Scott several times about this before and I just wanted to give him a heads up that the motor is on its way to him and should arrive by the end of the week. Hopefully I can talk to him prior to it being delivered..
