  1. Ok, But if im not mistaken Hifonics refers to strapping as daisy chaining on their site which confused me...
  2. 1998 nissan altima saz-1500d tuned somewhere between 34-35 hz.... box is about 6.4 externally 5.16 internally...
  3. Looking to break the 144 mark in the next week or so.. Then 145 shortly thereafter...

I wish you luck on the install and the numbers your looking for..

I agree... BIG 3 will definitely help you and use 1/0 if u can. If your concerned about price try Knukonceptz or welding wire..
  6. Whats the difference between those 2 terms?

With bass race there isn't a set amount of batteries you are limited to I believe that is only for db drag classes. I have 2 batts in my car... 1 duralast gold (came with car) 1 kinetik hc2000 planning on running all kinetiks some time soon..

Extreme leads are only necessary for SPL apps only... Do not use extreme leads if you plan on using this sub daily.. Check the FI BL options explained topic pinned at the top of this forum and you will have a better understanding... That amp should be fine with the sub, However I recommend a fully loaded BL for headroom that way if u decide to get a better amp your sub can take the power with no problems...
  9. 3db increase from my pair of ssds... Imade slight mods to my car but I don't know if it was enough to increase my db by 3db. I had a pair of 12" ssds on copper coils and the most I got of them was a 140.6 If im not mistaken.. but im sure I could have done better had I built my own box and stuck with that install versus my single sub setup...However, overall I believe my car prefers single sub setups versus multiple but someone will probably tell me it doesn't make a difference..
  10. ope got rid of them prior to me getting the BL.... here are some preliminary tl scores from tonights testing: 143.6 @ 55 hz car on 142 peak on music 143.4 @ 55 hz car off 141.6 @ 38 hz car o not bad for a trunk car and I still haven't finish tuning the install.
  11. ROE, there is a few good folks over there... Can't say too much about the rest of them... even some of the MODS are a lil ?!?!?!?!?!?
  12. IMO I would go with a fully loaded BL for headroom... they are beasts... I luv my baby can't wait to get off work to cruise home and beat on my car.
  13. its a brand new alternator thats the thing Take it to AutoZone to get it diagnosed it may be a problem with it and you not know it.
  14. Yellow Tops are great batts... I suggest u put the blame elsewhere a batt is only as good as your alt... or ur going to constantly drain it.
  15. Welcome Jon...
  16. I will also be doing a Review to the best of my abilities as well... Before I do it anyone have any suggestions on what aspects of the sub I should speak on to make it more thorough?
  17. All week I have been sitting around like a kid on Christmas eve and finally she arrived yesterday. I dropped her in and added a run of 2/0 welding wire as a ground for better voltage. I am soon to be adding a HO alt and finishing my big 3 off with better wire. Anywho all I can say is wowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww this sub is loud as hell. First setup I had that really hurts my ears. Like really hurts them and the thing that I like the most I still have more left in it as far as tuning it. I would like to say that to the ear thus far this setup is far louder than my 2 12" ssds on the same power. Only thing different is I actually built the box for my 15" as opposed with the 12"s I had bought that box for a previous setup. I think I finally found what I have been looking for in a setup. TL numbers and bass race numbers coming soon. Thanks again Scott and I do apologize for harassing you all week...
  18. Speaking of Oscilloscope can someone direct me to a site where I can get a reasonable priced handheld device so I can add it to my TO BUY LIST.... thanks in advance..
  19. He has a sae-1000d that suffices in my opinion if not get 2... We need a Saz-2000d
  20. I inquired about purchasing this massive 1500watt amp from a buddy of mines for a few bucks and he said it cuts on fine it just stays in protection should I purchase it and get it repaired. He is selling the amp for 25 bucks. worth repair yay or nay?
  21. Yea im a bit ruff on my subs at times. I try to take it easy but when you have that craving to get real loud its hard. I think im going to run it free air at a very low volume on a test tone. However I am not sure whats the best tone frequency to use without screwing my equipment up.
  22. Great read.. I plan on reading this several times to fully grasp the concepts discuss in this tutorial.
  23. How do you guys go about breaking your sub in? Do you let it break itself in overtime or do you play a nice tone to help exercise its suspension? Well I should be receiving my 15" full loaded BL today and I can't wait till I get home to get it so im looking to exercise the suspension so that it can be broken in for the weekends upcoming local comp event.
  24. Great! I hope you plan on dropping one to your current line..
  25. Jacob looks as though you are coming out with a new line of amps, and with that being said any plans for a 2kw???
