  1. are those Fi recones? still waiting on full motor shot..
  2. you will probably be waiting almost 2 months or so. about 15 business days build time each.
  3. try it out first. I'm not familiar with RE's new amps, but I'm guessing that puts out like 1500 rms supposedly?
  4. you're one sp4 should have done this ported. why would you want to run sealed if you want lots of spl?
  5. of course they want to sell you a JL for 800$

quickly build a sealed box to specs in cut sheets in the technical section. It sounds to me like the coil former is hitting the dust cap or the sub is not in the right enclosure. Set the subsonic to the Fs of the woofer. which I think is 28 or so.

IMO you should just stick with a 3k amp. Sounds like bad things are going to happen if you plan on strapping amps. Save yourself some space.
  9. He's still a customer..He's just young and not getting this forum thing.
  10. make sure you ship properly back in the original packaging so you don't run into more problems.
  11. I guess the new recones come with sandwiched leads regardless b/c there is no option for it. But make sure you know if you had a flat wound coil or not. I think it matters. and just make sure your motor is not pre-09
  12. Let us know if you need any help! I'm familiar with the BL series and I, as well as everyone else here can help you with an enclosure.
  13. if you're military, thanks for your service!
  14. To elaborate, no amp is "underrated." They're rated for very specific parameters. A better question would be what amps are capable of putting out clean, undistorted power over their rated parameters. I would say 65% of brands are not good.
  15. Really nice choice of amps by these pics. real clean installs! Enjoyed looking at them.
  16. that looks like a good enclosure. If you could go 4.3-4.5 I would try that first. I would stick with a big port area however.
  17. MMATS Pro Audio. www.mmatsproaudio.com These amps are almost 1/2 the size of the amplifiers in its competition class as well.
  18. Real nice stuff guys! MMATS M3000.1 New Wire (far right) KNU 1/0 OFC Freshly reconed ZCON 12" in 3.1 cu. ft with 32 Hz tuning.
  19. it will depend on the depth, I would make it 16 high in order to extend the depth a little more.
  20. 17 tall is tough, I have to deal with the same issues in my GM. 16 tall will work, looks like you have enough space for 4-5 cu.
  21. will post vids. Have everything ready but ran into a bit of a delay as I'm getting body work done on my car right now. I hit a deer in the early AM cause I didn't have bumps =[
  22. He can't sell anyway. He's a noob.
