I am running fully loaded BL's myself. You can run those easily off a Sundown 2500, Rockford 1500bdcp or any decent amp in the power range. Are the subs dual 2ohms or dual 1ohms?

This is not a vs. thread but I am wondering to hit the extreme lows best which subwoofer the X series 12 or the Z4 12 would be best?

I just bought 4 of the 12 inch X series subs and will run them off of 2 Rockford Fosgate 2500bdcp amps in a 11 cube net enclosure tuned to 31hz!!

Just trying to see if I can get this sub re-coned again because I cant order the re-cone from the site since its a 12 with the 4 inch coil. Hopefully someone from FI responds.

Guys, I was wondering why some people go outside the recommended cubic feet from FI for enclosure size? I am thinking because its vehicle specific or is there another reason? I have seen guys running 4 BL 12's in a 13 cube net enclosure.

Thats what the Zv4 is for lol If I wanted Sundown I wouldn't be on FI's page.

I have been running BL 12's since 2011 on Rockford Fosgate 2500bdcp amps and have not had one single problem because I actually took time and setup my system correctly. We really love our gear and its expensive that's why its important to play your system the way its tailored to your setup, not because the guy down the block was throwing 8,000 watts on a sub. I beat the hell out of mine and they only get warm on occasions. I hope with your recone you set it up for your playing preference and enjoy your bass.

Those dual 2 ohm BL's would be easier on your electrical if ran at 1 ohm. Are you trying to stay in a price range amp wise? disregard this

Ok cool. Thanks Nick and welcome back. I was curious because I am building a new enclosure and I know the SP4's have more xmax than BL's.

So if I have SP4 coils in my subs will that make them perform different than standard BL's?

I have been wondering about my 12 inch BL subs the last few weeks. I got them re-coned about 6 months ago and I have the fully loaded BL's with 4 inch coils. I am wondering if the 4 inch coils were no longer available since last year what was used for my re-cones? SP4 coils? Nick can you chime in?

Us 12 inch guys don't get a lot of love these days.
