Wow, none of you guys answered my question its about SP4 not electrical.

Looking to upgrade from my BL, will a M3a on 0.5 ohm be enough for a SP4? Do you guys think a ZCON will be a better candidate? My box is 4.4 cubes 36hz

With the box dimensions of 38w x 20h x 14D, sub up port up, I got port inner dimensions of 4.25"W x 12.5"H x 28"D which will give you: 3.61ft3 net volume, port tune of 34.13hz, 53in2 of port area with 14.72in2 port are per foot. Vent mach is 22.647 m/s based on 2800watts.

What kind of amp and what ohm load will you be running them at?

A couple of Decaf songs should do it.

400 watts will be perfect for the DCON's just make sure you are not feeding them a clipped signal.

Best way is to go to your local shops and listen to them in person, everybody has a listening preference. I prefer the laid back sound of a silk dome tweeter but you might like that in your face sound of a titanium tweeter.

I've been wanting to start my box build but could not find anyone selling PVC 8" x 20" flare aeroports. I've contacted a guy named Derrick that sells them but have not responded for over a month. I don't want to make my own and would rather buy a kit, and I have already looked at the metal ones but they are pricey. Anybody know where to get them?

In the crop bodies, in my opinion Nikon has better build and better focusing system but the Canon is king when it come to videography. To the OP the best way is to go to your local camera store and try different camera's out. I would also suggest trying out a Sony Alpha Nex-7 because it has the same sensor as the DSLR's, interchangeable lens but without the added weight. I usually shoot with a Tokina 11-16 lens and lugging it around gets tiresome due to weight.

I shoot with a Nikon D7000 and absolutely love it and my friends shoot with Canon, actually 2 of them with a 7D. In my opinion if you like to shoot outdoors go with Nikon, Canon's shine in a studio with a tripod.

I've helped my buddy with his 350z and have found a single 10" in a proper ported enclosure would be ideal. A 12" will require a fairly decent size box and the 350z has a small trunk, with your budget and power I suggest going with a single 10" icon.

Picked it up 2 days ago and its my first "big boy" sub, can't wait to hear it.

The only reason I ask is I did the calculation for the vent mach and it is .132, 45.4 m/sec which seems really high. Original intention was to run my old amp, DD M2a but sold it and upgraded. If the BL is getting raped I will wire it down to 2 ohm's.

My fully loaded BL 15" came in today so started to design my box. I want to use an 8" aeroport and wasn't sure if it has enough port area. Box is 5.5 ft.3, 8"x17.5" flared aero tuned to 33hz and going to be powered by a DD M3a at .5ohm. Will the 8" aero suffice or will it choke the sub?
