  1. I didn't mean that the same amp's quality wears out but the actual time building it. Kinda like how RE audio is. They used to build really good stuff but over time their stuff wasn't built as good. That's what I meant. I know the older amps were really good but didn't know if they still make them that good. Thanks guys!!
  2. Sometimes company's quality deteriorates over time; is this an example with their amps? Or are their amps still really good? This amp is around a year old.
  3. Thanks guys! I think I'll snatch it up. Btw I received my ethos yesterday! OMG!!!!! I'll be posting some pics soon.
  4. Yea you use the mmats which are small as hell. Are they that good of amps? Never looked into them. This one is black...less than a year old. It looks flawless.
  5. So 520 shipped is a good price? It's so clean too not a scratch! Talking to the guy now
  6. I'm gonna be pushing 2 15" ethos. I've heard they do the rated power at 12 or so and just put out a ton more power at higher voltage. They don't seem to be that much bigger than other amps of the same power.
  7. Yea the rating are at 12 or 12.5. Never used DD so was curious on if the amp is worth it or just get somethin else?
  8. Are DD amps worth the money? I sold my saz2500 because it was in okk shape and a guy offered me 460 for it. Kinda scratched and a few dents so I took it. I came across a DD M3a for 520 shipped. Is it a good deal? Does anyone else run digital design amps? Any experience with them, good or bad?
  9. Aaron explained it great! Whatever sub you choose between the Xcon or Zcon you will fall in love. I've had both and they are both incredible subs.
  10. I have had a Zcon 12" and a Zcon 15". Both amazing subs. Both were ran off a saz2500 and both setups blew people away. They couldn't get it through their head that all the bass was coming from one 12" lol I also had the 15" in another setup. This was a VERY loud setup. I love these subs and also the gcon and Xcon.

If you're serious about this, build a custom box. Before buying anything you need to measure the space you have and then pick subs out. Post you're max dimensions and we can help you figure out what size and how many subs you should go with.

What's the amount of space in the box and how much port area? Also tuned to what? Is it 5.1 cubes total for both 15s or 5.1 per?
  14. I used the Home Depot 5 ply birch and I love it. It seems to be very stong and I love the weight difference from mdf. It's extremely light compared to mdf. And it's only $10 more
  15. Happy birthday Sean!!
  16. Check sundowns website. They have a bunch of info on there.
  17. I usually just cut hole and run the wire through. Then seal it up. I really need to buy a router!!!
  18. Box is looking good by the way!!
  19. 32-33 will be totally fine for you. Let us know how you like it
  20. I waited 56 business days for a recone. There's was an injury in the build house so I was told. So that's probably why for me.
  21. Quick off topic question, when will you be working on amps?
  22. Okk here's the best thing to do: take away one sub and use only one. You only have Room for 1 sub.
  23. Depends on what ports you're using. If it's PVC or the aeroport company. All depends on what material they use. If you're using a flare it's even bigger. What you're max dimensions you can use?
  24. The installation is more important than speaker choice.
  25. Just because your amp puts out X amount of power doesn't mean it does it 24/7. Adjust the gain and listen for distress of the speakers.
