  1. I just always hear people say active is way better and they won't go back to passive. I've only had AQ comps but really didn't have any mid bass. That was last year and I learned a shit ton since then so can't really say the good/bad things about them. I've been using the stock speakers in my '12 fusion. The '13 fusion I will be able to fit 6.5s.
  2. I would do 4.25-4.5 cubes with an 8" aero port. I was going to use one of these but sold it to use 2 X 12s. Not really sure on sub/port direction. I always do sub/port firing into cabin sealed off. I always get a lot more room and no trunk rattle.
  3. Ok makes sense. I don't think I'll need a second one.
  4. I didn't mean to blend in while the subs are playing at their max. I mostly listen to my subs at very low listening levels. My upgraded stock Sony speakers in the '12 fusion are decent to me. So I'm thinking with a good set of mids I will have plenty of mid bass for me. "What locations do you have for installing speakers? How much space in each location. In door, what diameter speaker can you fit, what about depth? Can you fit a tweeter on the a-pillar? If so how large? What about the angle? If the tweeters go in the door how much space do you have, what about the angle? Are kick panels a possibility? If so, how much space do you have?" 6.5" size at bottom of door by feet. Tweeter is here next to the unlock/lock Don't know the exact amount of room yet. I guess I should of thought about that before posting this. I do want to use stock locations though. Also I looked at some of the other threads but I guess I'm mainly wondering about what to do or how to set up a active front stage instead of picking drivers.
  5. Might just be your hu. My stock head unit in my fusion is louder with Bluetooth than the aux cord. Bluetooth is also as loud and clear as using the usb too.
  6. So within a few months I will be getting the '13 Fusion and I want to do an active setup. I really don't know much about the speaker choices, best crossover points, processing so I'm relying on you guys to help me get a good front stage. Right now I want to start planning; don't want to rush it when the time comes. So what will I need? amp, speakers (2 6.5 mids and 2 tweeters), minidsp? I will keep the stock hu and use a LC2i. My budget as of right now is undetermined as I want to see prices of everything then see what I should spend. My goals really are simple. I want it to be loud enough to hear vocals over the bass when the subs are high and I want the mid bass to flow with the bass when it's low. I want them to blend well. Is there anyway I can explain my goals better? Also when shopping for speakers, what do I look for?
  7. I have not used either of these. I couldn't make the comps fit so they couldn't be used since the stock speaker size is 5x7 and I didn't want to make converted baffles. Since the comps wouldn't fit the amp wasn't used. Have no use for these. sax 125.2 was used by the previous owner and has minor scratches on it. Nothing major. I have not used it, so for the buyer's sake I want to test it in a friend's car to make sure it works and everything. Don't want to sell an amp that doesn't work. Also fuses will be replaced. $175 + shipping. SA-6.5cs were not used by anyone. One of the speaker was half mounted so it has scratch marks were I tried to screw it in other wise everything is brand new. NO power has been put to this component set. $160 + shipping.
  8. No. Doa is not common for any brand unless a recall or a hault in production is called. Anyone remember rd audio.. thats been long time ago.. very uncommon. Okk that's good!!
  9. Haha beat ya by less than a minute
  10. No keep everything the same. Just wire the sub to make it 4 ohms. Follow http://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/woofer_configurationsm.asp and it'll show you how to wire to 4 ohms.
  11. I think your customer service as a dealer/distributor is outstanding. I like how you're letting the customers choose what they feel it should be like.
  12. I'm in vote for option #3.
  13. Customer service is a must. If I have questions I would like them answered. I would pay a little more if customer service is better.
  14. No worries with this seller! Free bump! Wish I could use this though!
  15. Pretty sure he's sellin to his brother or to one of his friends. Yea craigslist is a bitch to sell stuff nobody wants to actually buy.
  16. Looks good!! I say have it come with amps stock.
  17. For question 2 I definitely think so. It is a for sure need so why not throw it into the price and get it right away. I'm sure you guys would have less people pissed when they blow up their shit because they didn't get it or was going to get it and played amp with out it and then blame you guys for their dumb ass mistake. I vote yes for it.

  20. You can pm me if you want to learn it then.
  21. This is something I need to learnWhich part? all of it lolI can try my best to help you out with all of it. We can start with Torres and how to design it then move on to 3d sketch up and last to the box.
  22. Where are you buying your clamps? Lol...harbor frieght is a good place to get supplies if there are any near u. I spent $45 on clamps and like $20 on a t square. It makes it SO MUCH easier.

Well what amps would you be using in each scenario. Also are you competing or is it just a daily system?

Personally I would run the single amp since it's easier. But you get a funky ohm load with 3.
