Sealed box reccomendation for JBL W12GTi MKII
The recommended enclosure size for the 12 sealed is 1 cube. From my understanding of sealed boxes, the bigger the sealed box the better the lows will be. I think it's because the fs is lowered? Not sure if that's what it is. So if you want it to play lower better than go with a bigger box. I'd say around 1.3-1.5 cubes.

H/O alt or batteries?
Alt first! This way your stock alt wouldn't struggle to charge the batt bank. Do you have second batt right now?

2012 Fusion All Sundown Everything! Start Pg. 14
Yea it does need more port area. When I first designed my box for the dual xcons I thought I was only gonna be able to do a certain amount of port area. I made it so this box was like half of the dual box. i wanted to see howbit would perform. it still sounds good but i know it cab be a lot better. no need to build another box since the other 12 will be ready in a couple weeks. But now I found out I can get a lot more room, so I can have more port area with the dual 12 box.

15" SSA Xcon or 15" Fi Bl
The response of larger subs being slower than smaller subs is a myth. The response has to do with the box. Both get loud and sound amazing, but I am a little bias with me owning a Xcon.

Types of wood for light weight boxes?
My cuts are longer than the 2" x 2" though

Types of wood for light weight boxes?
It is physically impossible. Plywood is a laminant. The center ply could have a void the size of a dinner plate and you would never know until you cut it into. I guess ill have to buy it and try it.

Types of wood for light weight boxes?
Ohh I know that. So you can most of the time see how good it is from just looking at it. Thanks guys.

Types of wood for light weight boxes?
How can I spot voids? What do they look like?

Types of wood for light weight boxes?
I'm pretty sure I'm gonna try that stuff. I've been texting frogcase2002 and he's used the HD birch or whatever it is and he says it works good too.

Types of wood for light weight boxes?
My Lowes sells cabinet grade birch that is void free. I used it on my battery box. They do not sell it in full sheets tho and it is fairly expensive. Aruco ply is another to look into. I've heard that stuff is good too. I wish I got that price around here! Lol

Types of wood for light weight boxes?
I don't think I need to do that. It's gonna be just a daily system

Types of wood for light weight boxes?
Okk thanks Jon. Sounds like it's good usable stuff.

Types of wood for light weight boxes?
So it was probably the HD or lowes birch then. How did it work out? Better than regular mdf?

Types of wood for light weight boxes?
Do you know exactly what kind of birch it was?
