  1. When the time comes you can ask me or make a new thread about it and I or other can tell you how. That amp won't put out as much power. I think it would be easier for me to help you out if you give me an actual number to work with for your budget. I can recommend things all day, but it won't help if it doesn't fit your budget. So how much do you want to spend on 2 12s? How much do you think you could sell your amp for and then how much would you have to spend on a new amp?
  2. I suggest you tune everything yourself this time. It's pretty easy.
  3. Thanks for serving! I didn't know if they would fit or not. They obviously don't know what they are doing then. Don't go back to them. The ssa icons have a 6.5" mounting depth and have proved themselves too be great subs. Not sure if they fit into your budget since you didn't say a number but they're 350 shipped each. SSA is no joke. I have their Zcon 12 and people can't believe what they see when I pop the trunk. They are stunned when they find out its only one 12 play that loud and that low.
  4. Did you put those PG subs in there and they blew or did they put them in and they blew? I'm not sure what the volume is of the box is but I doubt it's not as much as these subs would need. If its sealed I would get the FI Qs with the high qts so it will do better in the sealed box. They will handle the 2k fine.
  5. Is it the mean machine amp?
  6. The gains must of been set wrong. Subs shouldn't blow like that. You need to know how to set the gain and all the setting before you add new subs. What's your electrical like? Is it a prefab box? Forgot to ask what your budget is for subs?
  7. Yes so get a dual 1 ohm Xcon and run it at 2 ohms.
  8. Yes the cone will move more air. The bigger the cone area the potential for a louder setup increases. How come you are only comparing the 15 and 18? Do you plan to upgrade later and add another sub? What's your budget? If I were you I would get 2 15s or maybe 2 18s(if you want to give up that much room). Why did you pick the 3500? For one Xcon I would do the 2000. For 2 I would do the 3500.
  9. Welcome! Goals? Box size? Ported? Tuning? Port area?
  10. Looks like the 18 will do the job better since you have enough space.
  11. Exactly^^^ also it's better to have a smaller sub in the best box than the bigger sub in a shitty box.
  12. Thanks man. All my friends have kits like this but I don't wanna mess with the underglow since its a lease and I can't drill holes.
  13. Can't wait to see that dcon build man wish I had a vehicle for a build like that. Looks like you know what your doing too! Good luck.
  14. Yea no problem. Tenney is also a great budget friendly alt company with really good customer service so I've heard. Check them out too to see which will offer you best price and best performance.
  15. http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/topic/58766-nice-sounding-65s-for-under-200/ Read through this. It'll explain why nobody can really recommend components since everyone's ears are different.
  16. I've heard they have bad customer service. Have you looked into singer? Great customer service and the alt was a beast! I had a 275a for my trailblazer.
  17. Welcome back! People are always surprised by my single Zcon 12. They always think there's at least 2 12s lol
  18. I thought the name was a clever marketing technique personally. also 84db @ 1w? thats fairly low compared to similar drivers like this that I've seen. Seems designed more for show/bragging rights by the price, limited number, large excursion, large RMS, and name. The sensitivity doesn't mean anything by itself. So even if it low it doesn't mean it won't be as loud as others with higher sensitivity. You assume too much, I never said it was the deciding factor to how loud a sub was... simply making an observation... I didn't know if you knew that or not. I was just letting you know just incase since not a lot of people do know that and sometimes will make a purchase just on sensitivity. Sorry about that.

  20. Go with optimal then. If its a few tenths over dont stress it.
  21. call the alt companies and figure out what would be best for you. They are obviously the pros so they would know best. You should really learn how to do all this yourself, it'll save you shit tons of money.
  22. Today/tomorrow special only Amp - 330 + shipping Lights - 90 + shipping
  23. It really doesn't need to be that big, you can't make it smaller? Although it's not that big of a deal. How much power were you planning on throwing at it?
  24. You should put how much port area, tuning, volume and all that information. People don't want to do all the work to figure it out to help you when you should have done it. Just saying.
