  1. did you watch the video?? i was supper happy, i dont understand the question/ nvm, I couldn't see the other power/ground leads in the pic when I first looked lol
  2. KyleBrown posted a topic in General Audio
Not sure if I posted this here.
  3. congrats on the 151. When I did that from the trunk I jumped out screaming lol why the one set of leads in the amp though lol
  4. That's the scary part. made by sundown? Is that the new relationship? Don't think so. AT bought a company called Atmos Audio. They were a small subwoofer manufacturer that had a section over at CSCO. I am certain the owner of AT has no sub woofer engineering or acoustic background to design a sub woofer. Getting to be to many cookie cutter start up companies lately. I talked to one of the guys who ran 1 of the EXO's which will be the top level sub rated at 2000 watts. And he said the suspension is really loose on those subs as in you can bottom it out with your hand loose. Also he said it would get stinky real quick. That is probably an older unit when Atmos was owned by Kevin Holden. On the subs, I've seen the opposite. might have been confused with a stratos. The new exo softparts are DC I believe. The motor is the only part I want really

    oh my
  7. Ok, that's what I was more or less looking for on the SSF setting. I assume it uses the type of filter, but I have no idea how to tell the difference lol. Where does the .707 come from? Just curious so I can educate myself. Thank you for your input. I've had it for some time. I previously had a pocket o-scope which was very inconsistent and died in about two weeks. It works fine for what it is. -3dB change = half power. If you have 100watts from 10v*10a, then a -3db change would be 100watts / 2, so 50watts. In order to drop from 100watts to 50watts from a change in both voltage & current, you end up with 0.707 0.707*10v = 7.07v 0.707*10a = 7.07a 7.07amps*7.07volts = 49.9849watts. thanks man

  9. So on this next run I plan on running my amps not strapped. I know how to gain set with a DMM. Xovers I typically do by ear. My plan of attack is to DD-1 both amps, check output voltage of both amps and match to the one with less output. Now I'm not worried about setting the LPF on the amps since I can do that via the HU. My only area of concern is the SSF. I'm a little fuzzy on gain matching with the SSF. Do you play your selected tone of choice (lets use 30hz in this example) continue to turn the filter up until you see a dip in output voltage? Then repeat on the second amp. I'll most likely use Y-splitters for the RCAs to ensure proper distribution of pre out voltage instead of the output on the amps. Eventually I'll use some sort of Bass eq to bring the voltage back up.
  10. Is he a little "slow" nice stuff
  11. that's badass man
  12. Looks nasty man!
  13. build the box to form to the shape of the trunk
  14. why so low?
  15. Nice fab job man
  16. I sold it to alan
  17. why isn't there a bikini?
  18. You're still applying it!!?? oven test and a two other things. Still too elastic though.
  19. Well, the further I've gotten away from the start of the roll, the better it works. Still not up to my standards. The adhesive is still very gummy. It seems to be holding its own weight, but it seems it might fail over a longer period of time. Being mounted upside down that is.
  20. clean that ish up foo!
  21. I find you sig too distracting..... my final words for this thread
  22. we've been emailing back and forth. He's being extremely apologetic and respectful. So I'll hold off adding this to other forums. still offered me further discounts.
  23. This is very true. also very true
  24. Also, to add to this shit storm. My email has been going crazy with spam and people are trying to hack my photobucket password.
