  6. agreed... its weird how the SP4 and the Zcon look like they have the same motor... Ironic? All SSA motors look nearly identical to Fi models. perhaps the same company lol the top plate and bottom plate are diff of course to fit the coil. yes the wofferes are very different, motors not so much lol. I think it would be interesting to compare a SP4 to a ti styled sub with a 4hp
  7. can't comment on SSA subs, but a diamond audio D6 15 on low power or hex pro 15 on high power, each box would be fine I want an xcon
  8. looking good, I think th SP4 motor should have been bigger considering the coil size
  9. nice score for that little power! specs on box too? build?
  10. deader does help with sound transfer as well....
  11. EBC Yellowstuff was my first idea, however, seeing that I will more than likely need new rotors I thought about going up in size. Bigger rotors are 7.5 lbs extra per wheel. Probably an extra 2-3.5 lbs for bigger calipers and it adds up to 10 lbs extra unsprung weight per wheel. Seems like EBC Yellow is only $25 more than the Greens in the UK. I'll be going there in April and I can get them in my luggage, so no shipping cost. But it's still up for discussion if the slightly smaller surface 2-piston caliper + bigger rotor = better performance than the stock single piston and rotor. Keep in mind again that I'm not buying a kit, I'm making a kit, so cost will be smaller for sure, just a lot of extra work. Are you overheating your brakes now? Do they fade a lot in use? What is your goal with going bigger? I'm never opposed to larger brakes, but I think Ryan nailed it here a more aggressive pad might be all that you need. The pads helped, the rotors not so much...unless bling is a help. helped with fade, heavy driving around town, hard braking getting off the interestate
  12. care to explain why? Its thicker than dynamat thicker than damp pro, stickerier than dynamat, but not quite as easy to work with as the damp pro.... I've yet to see it not hold up... I've got it in my trunk and on a door to compare it to damp pro. Stuff works great
  13. birch is almost twice the price of MDF right??? not but usually 10 bucks more or so a sheet
  14. I went to cross drilled/sloted with ebc red stuff, huge gain. big brake kit was 2grand...
  15. second skin damp pro or stinger roadkill expert both are great, stinger is cheaper on soinc, but I prefer secod skin
  16. I don't have pics of my first three I was rockin rockford 5.25s and 6x9s Yes I was a noob back then. But it sounded pretty damn good. I always got compliments on the sound. That box was actaully quite musical, played the lows quite well
  17. Probably strapping this weekend :-)
  18. new vid with the S2 I have the 8ga for speaker wire just ordered some 2/0 welding cable to wire the amps up pretty, and strap them up. Also selling a BNIB SA12 D4 Decided for sure I'll be running 9512's now, even if I have to wait a while to have proper funds to buy recones and baskets.
