Just put another layer on . Cut the hole the size of the sub and Use a strait flush bit to cut out the port hole out when its on. If you cant get the hole right on you can use the flush bit for the sub hole then sit the sub In and draw around the sub and cut it out with a jig saw

I was thinking the same thing. I have seen people beat the shit out of other high end subs (clipping bad)
