Anyone have this happen. Just cant seem to get it off. Screwdriver doesn't grip to the head of the screw at all. Just freely spins no mater how hard you push down

Yes. Bought new and had ssa recone it last year..... right when I got the cone and everything off I seen that you could barely tell the screws are Phillips Heads anymore and some were filled with glue ( where you would put the screwdriver)

Well went to tare down my zcon 15. Going to be reconing to a 12... and the screws holding the basket to the motor are completely striped(from ssa) any idea how I'm going to get this off? Don't really wanna go spend money on a whole buch of stuff to get his off or have to re thread the motor I don't wanna mess up anything. Going to need to put the 12 basket on when I get it

How does your amp tell you? If you say you know your amp is good and you know your subs are good then its going to be your head unit or rca wire

Why don't you build it inside the trunk. That's what I had to do.... I'm getting close to 10 cubes for my next build cause of doing that

Zcons forsure like bigger boxes. My first box for my 15 was 3.5 and I did 141.?? Then put it in 4.4 and did a 143 and last was a 4th with 4.5/2.2 and did 145.6 but my last one I ported through rear deck. All with same amp. I would try to squeeze as much room as possible

So tinsels will get hot enough to catch fire with nothing else messing up.... figured if it was clipping enough for that to happen the voice coil would be messed up or something

What do you think caused this? Cause I was just messin around with it and the only reason it stopped playing is cause the fire burned through one of the leads. Just hooked a wire to a where it Burt through and it plays. And voice coil looks 100% perfect..... so there wasn't over excursion. Voice coil is fine and clean. There was no popping . No kind of smell..... Just the spider caught fire and Burt through one of the leads and sub cut off I know there will be a lot of people talking about that I had it hooked to an ap3000 but I forreal went way way easy on the gain.. I set it like it should be and then turned it down even more...... forsure going to be using a different amp for my new build though

I know what your saying about the 4th but the motor was in the ported side ported into the car so I figured I would have smelled something getting hot or something.. guess this is a leanring experience lol

I will. From what I can see of the coil its not Burt at all

so sad. Sucks cause volts were always up. Gain set properly. And there was no kind of smell at all or sounds or anything. It just stopped playing during a song and was on fire I guess on a good note its forcing me to start my new build that I have been putting off

Currently I have a 15" zcon in a 4th order bp ported through rear deck. Going to be getting 2 12" zcons and trying to think of what kind of box to start on. 4th . 6th. Ported with trunk sealed off? Which ever one I chose I'm going to be porting through my rear deck.. I think I can get about 9 or 10 cubes if I pretty much Max the trunk out .which I could do... Just seeing if anyone has any opinions on anything that will help me make up my mind? If you got any questions just ask. Going to be running 4 - 5k. Maybe a little more. Wanting to get started a.s.a.p. thanks.

Just trying to see how you guys think 3 10"xcons would do in a 4th order that is 2.2 sealed and 4.5 ported before displacements. I know a lot of thing matter but The reason I'm asking is because that's the box I have my 15" zcon in . Its ported though the rear deck with removable port ( could make any tuning that would be good for the xcons) but not really wanting to do a new box right now cause its built in the car and I'm wanting to get louder. Loudest so far has been 145.6 and cant seem to get louder. .... would be at least doing rms. I have ho alt. 2 runs of 0 .close to 300ah of batts. lots of deadener .. let me know any questions you may have. Thanks

I would just build a new box and then you will know what you have. Cause just because the box was built well doesn't mean it was designed well and will sound good

Finally got to 145 what now lol. Not sure if I can get to 150 with this setup
