  1. I was about to start a new thread but looks like I can find an answer here. I have a Sundown SAZ3000, If I run 3 dual 2ohm Fi SSDs will I get 1.33 ohms (series coils only).
  2. Best Places to find 16volt batteries, charger, and alternator? What would be the disadvantages (if any) to running this type of settup. Can I use the stock alt w/ second battery on the 12 volt system? I will be running Sundown 100.4 and 100.2 on 12volt settup. My previous big 3 settup consisted of Ford 18volt variable regulated alt (although always used as 12volt system) This was in 1990 and there wasn't alot to choose from aftermarket back then. Alt was custom built by Posey Power in Tampa and modified time after time until we found what worked. Ended up mounting the 6 50 amp diodes outside of the alt on a custom bracket also housing 3 rectifiers and 2 fans for cooling on a custom made plexiglass case. Pretty cool for nearly 20 yrs ago. 6 group 31 deep cycles with 14 amps pushing 34 10s at about 150 rms each. Loved the old skool!!!
  3. Thanks Jacob. Sooooooooooo Now the question is can it be done on my vehicle (88 chevy s10 blazer) with v8 swap sbc350. How many batteries would I need for the 16 volt system to run a Sundown saz-3000D on say 4 Fi SSD18s with bp option and copper option?
  4. Nice Blazer What batteries are you running and how many? Are you satisfied with your settup? 12volt? What amps are you running and how much did the alt cost? I'm looking to find an electrical guru. Can anyone help? Do I have to run a 12 volt system or can I up that on a vehicle thats only driven a couple times a month. Does anyone have a 16 volt electrical system on a dlydrvr?
  5. Hi guys my name is Joey aka ronrico41I8. Wanted to go with the Sundown guys about this as I figure you'd have the best ideas considering familiarity with this product. Just purchased a SAZ-3000D that I plan on using w/Fi subs. I plan on purchasing a 100.4 and 100.2 in the near future. I would like to get away with using 4-6 batteries as my ride should be bagged in January and I need room for the air tank and enclosure. I would like a high voltage electrical sytem that can get me 5000 watts out of this baby. Is this possible? What is the highest voltage system I can use on a vehicle that is driven just several times a month. Whip is a 1988 Chevy S10 Blazer with V8 SBC350 w/280hp built to be driven on the street/highway. Any info greatly appreciated and thank you all in advance. Thanks to Jacob for helping me out with quick responses and clear direction during the purchase process of this amp. So far Sundown is simply a great company to do business with and I will highly recommend to friends and family. The Sundown website suggests a 200 amp alt. http://www.powermastermotorsports.com/high_amp.html and "at least one" http://www.powermastermotorsports.com/xs_power.html AGM cell battery
  6. Honestly If you were to use the SSDs you would have WWWAAAYYY more than anyones type Rs ever thought of and the SPL/SQ would be a yes/yes. While your at it you could then use a SUNDOWN 1500 and spend less on electrical settup! Basically you could save alot of money and have exactly what your looking for. The SSD is the REAL DEAL Evander Holyfield of subs. It's taken me ahwhile to commit to the SSDs myself over the Qs BLs and BTLs but thanks to this forum, my ears, and some great demos I KNOW the truth and my friend the truth will set you free!!! Not knockin the others they all have their applications. You like alot of rock and money isn't an issue? Go ahead w/ the Sundown 3000 and run 4 SSD 12s. You'll be the happiest rocker around and still be able to drop that Late Night Tip. My Bday is in July if you wanna send me a card......lol......but seriously. SQPL is what I'm all about!!! PM me if you'd like.

OLDSKOOL MC ADE - Da Train LTrimm' - Lowriders Techmaster PEB - Computer Love Billy Idol - Prodigal Blues Too Short - The Ghetto Billy Idol CD "Charmed Life" maybe the best BASS I've ever heard! Try it out before you knock it please. I believe you'll be impressed Track 3 is Prodigal Blues. Not a Billy Idol fan but it's a good song. MC ADE's album "How Much Can You Take?" is the first significant Bass album that had what we called "change up bass" Before that bass hit the same frequency throughout the song. Think of all the old Beastie Boys, Run DMC, Sir Mix Alot, and Even LL Cool J's best bass song "Going Back To Cali". None of those CD's hit bass on different frequencies like we all know today. MC ADE started that chit or if not he perfected it. His album sells on EBAY for up to 189.00 (not a mistake) I bought mine there for 35.00 after looking for 2 years. NEW SCHOOL JEEZY 3 6 Mafia
  16. In case there were any questions about how great I am when it comes to drawing let me go ahead and prove I'm No Artist. Here is a rough sketch of my box design - Single Reflex Bandpass for 4 FI Q 18s NOTE 1st picture is viewed from the top ported to the 2 front seats in my 88 S10 Blazer. http://i130.photobucket.com/albums/p242/Ro...18/IMG_0055.jpg NOTE 2nd picture is viewed from the side with baffles, braces, and sides removed. The ones that look like rims are supposed to be the magnet and baskets of the 2 woofers that will sit directly behind the passenger. The 2 with the attempted FI logo would be directly behind the driver. I already stated I have no drawing abilities right. My last attempt at drawing today was the front seat and steering wheel. I have a bench seat now but will change to buckets so the port area will be basically firing into the front of the cab through the opening between the bucket seats. Hope this has helped with what I'm trying to convey and not created more confusion than understanding. http://i130.photobucket.com/albums/p242/Ro...18/IMG_0060.jpg To Scott, M5, and anyone else that cares to help. I thank you all in advance for your time and efforts. I'm very appreciative for everyone with FI and this forum. Joe Rod
  17. Scott and ///M5 There are 2 rear chambers both firing into the center chamber. 2 baffles firing at each other except the woofers are mounted offset so they are NOT firing directly at each other! We had 6cf in each rear chamber and 12cf in the center chamber. The port was 17"W 28"H 4 1/2"L. Tuned to 32hz I think? Also we were using 4 RFpunch 18's 250 RMS pushed by an Orion "beast" 2250SX 2ohm stereo almost 18 years ago. Recreating with the 4 FI Q 18s and will be using 1 RF4000 and not soon enough 2 RF4000's. Will I be needing dual 1 or 2? Scott please figure all this in when you play with the numbers. I'll try and get you a rough pic of my box design and thanks for your time. This build means alot to a bunch of people. I told Shawn if i didn't work out we could tear it apart (he suggested just ripping out the baffles) and I'll go reg ported. I really want it to work with bandpass though! DMZ2711 Great question! Also Thanks for givin' me a demo at Shawn's shop yesterday. (DMZ2711 is you right?) Let me tell you all about it. He played 4 different songs for me and I was thinking "yeah" it sounds like 2 15's the window is moving what looked like 1/2 an inch it was kinda loud but didn't feel alot of pressure. Remember I've been sponsored and I've had really big systems. Anyway Shawn walks up and told him to turn it up. He put in a cd cranked up the volume and let it rip! WOW!!! The windshield really stated moving and I even felt a pleasant uncomfortable itching in my left ear. The pressure was inreased 4 fold and all off of 2 BTL15's (pretty small ported box considering)in a small car running off 2 Kicker 2500's (I think). Not to jack my own thread but I was very impressed. They were going to add 3 more batteries when I was leaving. Kudos Joe Rod
  18. UPDATE Since the last post I have met Shawn F. and have come to one solid conclusion. I'm going to order the Q's 418s and I'm going to put them in my old school bandpass. I have to give it a shot for nothing other than our fallen bass brotha! I can do the woodwork but I do need help figuring out port size. 24 cubic feet easily available. Contact me on this thread or PM if you have the program or think you can help me. Thanks Joe
