Hey man i feel yea, we are currently under furloughs also. Not as bad for me as some of the other people at my work, i have to take 4 weeks off and i get to choose when i go, so i am gonna make the most of it, first round is two weeks of family visiting, second two weeks will be a vacation in Hawaii!!!! When i was younger, 16-17ish i installed a home theater sub into a water cooler, just like this one. And duck taped it down and ran it off my rear speakers!!! Amazingly enough it worked!!! Not much bass as you can imagine!

Well the W7 isnt a SQ sub it is more designed for SPL. But it is a great price for the sub, but i think the ICON would be a much better fit for your wanting a good sounding sub and not just bass. But hey again that is a good price. So it is up to you.

So you are pulling 1K with a 8ga power wire? hhmmm........... I would say upgrade this to start. Just for safety sake. Have you checked to see if maybe you are even getting rated power? Maybe the power wire cant supply the proper amount of power. I dont know just giving my guess on the subject. I know it really wasnt part of your original question. But truthfully i am not sure on that answer! Sorry man. Is there a reason why you want a 1 or 4ohm more than the other? Does you current setup not work with your system, or you just want it louder? wow man nice job as always!!! you put out some great items man. Do any of your higher end customers wonder why they are taking there 50-60K cars to the middle of nowhere!! I would think alot of people might think twice. But either way good job man.

I am biased to the XCON as i have an ICON and have never heard the DP, but i love marks 18's!!! But from what i have seen and read the should be pretty fairly matched. But i will always favor SSA.

I am very biased towards the XCON! I run a ICON 10" daily which i love, but need to power it up more!! And i have personally heard the XCON's 18's and man they slam!

I dont know if i will make it or not? Will talk to the lady tonight.
