  1. You don't have to play music for 30 sec. in the AS classes you have to play music until you blow your fuses or after the 30 sec., which ever comes first. You can probably get 50 amps of fuse with one 1500d depending on your impedance rise.
  2. yea right now I am useing five 10 amp agu fuses. I am doing a 143.6 at the head rest with that box on a burp, I have to pull my number with music in amateur street though. After I get done trying different fuses I am going to build a box tuned a little bit higher(~43hz) and then seal the trunk off.
  3. Well I am going too try my luck in Meca when the next season starts in their amateur street class. I am going to do AS1 or AS2 not sure yet, and I just joined up with Team Apocalypse. The equipment being used is one 15" AudioQue HD3 and a Sundown 1500D or 3000D depending on which class I am in. I am just playing around for now with fuses but here is a vid of my HD3 in a 32hz box and one 1500D. What ever class I am in is looking promising right now. Sundown FTMFW
  4. Congrats man, that is awsome. You always manage to impress me
  5. Man that sucks I have been talking about your car ever since I sat in it at finals, I am just glad that you are ok and I hope to see you at some more comps. next season. Andrew
  6. I clicked but it does not work
  7. If you are talking about Danville IL. then yes that would be no problem. I am there everyday cause I go to college at DACC so just send me a pm and we will set up a time to meet. I am not sure what I will have in there at the time that you hear it cause I am always trying new stuff, but it will deff. be sundown amps. Andrew
  8. So how does it sound, we need vids
  9. There is another one? I would like to try one
  10. Well I went to the comp. at Audio+ and had the same results. Out of about twenty five cars I was the second loudest. I got first in class 1 ; max of 4) 8's, 3) 10's, 2) 12's, and 1) 15". I also got 2nd in out law with a 172.0 in the port. So long story short I had a good weekend and introduced lots of people to some bad ass stereo equipment. Sundown FTW again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. It's Oct. 13 and 14
  12. Yea he bought the 2 off of me and he as 2 of Chad's in there now on a Memphis 4kw, but once he gets some money he is going to get 4 sundown 3000d's You should go to world finals with us in Indy. we have 4 sundown 3000d's in the rex now, didn't know if you knew that yet or not. I am going to finals in Indy.. w/you guys. Sweet!!!!!!!!!
  14. I have a 2000 Gand AM GT and would recomend you do 5.25" in the doors (6.5's wont fit unless you cut some metal) and you have 6x9s in the rear. I would search the forums for a 4 channel amp, anything is better than deck power.
  15. Well at the last comp. at Sound Check we decided to through all of my equipment in my buddy Coopers explorer because I have a little Pontiac Grand AM. Before we took everything out of his explorer we had got it to a 150.6 @ 35hz with 3 sundown SAZ-1500d's and 3 15" mojos. Well it was my turn to compete so we pute 1 12" SI Mag in my car with 1 sundown 1500d and went to the comp at Buds to see what I could do. I was in class 1B which is 1-160 sq in of cone area and 501 watts and up. I took first place with a 144.7 (which was really funny cause the JL rep. was calling my amp a mut and I was the second loudest car at the comp next to a van with a wall of 6 15's and 6 1200 watt amps.) I also finished second in outlaw with a 153.5 (mic was in the trunk, not in the port) By the time I left everybody there was wanting to know where they could get one of these "mut" amps. lol There is an other comp. today at Audio+ in Terra Haute so I am going to go see how I can do there. Sundown FTW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  16. thats a negative
  17. Ok I want one again!!!
  18. All of us Sound Check guys will be in Indy.
  19. I will be at Indy Finals too
  20. We still need vids
  21. AlpineAndy replied to montoya's topic in Sundown Audio
PioneerAndy, thats good I like it. I was going to get the new alpine CDA 9887 but my buddies at Sound Check swear by the pioneer 7800 and 9800 so I had to give it a try.
  22. AlpineAndy replied to montoya's topic in Sundown Audio
well that explains why I am haveing the same problem. I never had it with my Alpine
  23. That is awsome. The FS of a mag 15" is 22 hz so what are you tuned to? If you don't mind me asking
