thanks for the reply. and input..i'm all about learning, lol... no gloves as she's my wife. but the post wrapped in plastic i never gave a thought too....will next time. liner is a 3, at rest about 1/8" showing. color was 6 flat, but will be doing 7 magnums from now on. at rest, 1/16" showing. not sure on tension, i'll check though. biggest problem i have is that i try to draw, instead of trace. but getting better. keeping a steady speed is an issue as i wrap around parts. feel free to critique. teh more i learn, the better i get. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee you like to hang your needle try giving this a try, hang your needle just far enough so that if you run your thumb over the tip you barely feel the needle when the machine isnt running, for your liner space the armature bar from your upper contact about the width of a dime(hehehe easier then trying to measure 1.25-1.35 mm).after enough practice you can bring it out a bit more when your comfortable enough, and your hand dosent hover up and down,,,the shader space back a bit more about 2 mm,reason for doing this in the begining is you need to train you hand to stay within the dermis layers of the skin and being that its only 1/32 under the top layer of the skin if you hang to much, you risk blow outs and scaring, ill admit its alot easier to line with you needle overhung, but if you can learn this way then move to overhung youll train yourself to drop bold solid lines with fewer if not any blowouts

heheh nice start, what im about to say just take it,or leave it,,i have alittle exp. with ink.started tattooing at 16 as a scratcher then finished an aprentiship and worked days in car audio and nights at a tattoo shop, lol, till i gave up working at powerbass to work strickly in a tattoo parlor......... Anyways dont read into this like i said........just some helpful advice the rose over all looks good,a few inconsistencies in the lines,it could have been the shift in angles with the machine, try to keep the machine in 18-22% angle, and the skin as tight as possible,Have you ever seen a staff infection?...need to wear your gloves man and if you need to use a scratching post as a leg table wrap it in plastic......how far are you hanging your needles? how much tension is you armature bar seeing, cause bolth will have an effect your needle travel,.....what shading needles are you using?liner looks like a 3...im not going to go to deep into what i see you can improve on,just tryin to let ya know if you have any questions or concerns dont hesitate to ask, Randy

  21. Simply adding more power to the same driver is about one of the worst ways to get your score up. depends on your equipment, lets take my current setup,2 Atomic apx,im doing the higest # i can do possible with my set up at what little power i have,so now im adding power, but ive already built the best enclosure for my application, worked on my electrical...all i have left is power, held true when the Crossfire BMFs where in the crx,not the strongest drivers 350rms if i remeber right,,but i was burping them with 2 modded Vr 2000s,but again did everything i could with what i had before the power,so what Jim says is correct,BAH!!nevermind im rammbling now,,lol just add more power and turn it up,,muuhahahaha
  22. Ok sorta short notice but we are putting a car together for denim and BBQing this weekend June 3rd,will be drinkin building and eating open invitation for people that wanna come hang out,ill be busting out the Term lab meter so if you want your car metered this is the time to do it,
  23. some might frown on this but this is the way ive always done it,,,if the power is clean and you know your freq.and you arent burp happy 3-4 times your RMS,unless i have money to spend or extra gear laying around ill toss an obscene amount of power to it
  24. i bought this drill http://www.makita.com/menu.php?pg=product_...mp;tag=BDF452HW a ouple months ago as a back up for my Snap-on 18volt,since i got it havent used the snap on siince
