  1. you could do like us competitors do.. Trial and error your port tuning. Although, since you are aiming for daily, which is a lot easier, just build you the longest port u can get in there and see how it sounds. Start cutting a little off at a time if you think it's tuned too low until you get it how you want it.
  2. Cthedinger, Software has now been tested and confirmed just a few minutes ago! We got it working! You are going to like it I hope! The software will now display LIVE digital frequency readout, Realtime PEAKing SPL, Realtime averaging SPL all at same time during your musical averages! I will be sending you an email for the new updated software. We met your deadline for your show just in time! Hope everything goes well at the show!
  3. Did Slim2fattycake pm you about the meter needing to be updated when it's available? Typical Peak AVG output is around 5db above normal until it is fixed in case he didn't tell you. The fix will start commencing tomorrow.
  4. do this- Take ALL 4 subs and individually wire each one in series to 2 ohm. So now, you will have 4 single coils at 2ohm.. 1 coil per sub. take 1 pair of subs (2 coils) and wire them in series to achieve a 4 ohm load. do this to the other pair(2 coils) of subs as well for a 4 ohm load. now you are left with 2 coils left, each at 4ohm... Now, just take that and parallel them together for a 2ohm load. WALA.
  5. i'd like to see this..... without removing the AC compressor...
  6. Bird Bird bird.. Bird is da word... B-B-B-B-B-B-B-Bird Bird Bird! The Bird is the Word!
  7. sounds like it has been bottomed out for it to sound like it. SSDs are real particular about sticking to their suggested box sizes and to the power received.
  8. For daily, I'd be aimin at enlarging internal volume and decreasing port area... Daily setups want the larger boxes because of the typical tuning frequency and the type of music being played. Because it takes a lot to hear a shift in loudness, maximum possible port area isn't a primary goal compared to proper internal volume.
  9. remove the last letter of the last name in the thread title and it will be right.
  10. looks like somebody is using a spycam.. naughty you...
  11. r u sayin the only thing wrong with the sub is the dustcap? If it's just got a hole in it... cut it out(without cutting into the cone or former) and just buy u a new dust cap.. that's like a whole $8.
  12. hadnt planned on it.. was planning on welding steel between layers of wood all the way around to prevent the walls from flexing inwards during pressure..
  13. yep.. there have been some hiccups with gettin this stuff as it's been sellin fast but i can talk to the guy when u get here if u like and see where we stand on inventory.
  14. none now.. next year.. it will be Modified but i'll be sneaky about it
  15. i can call my man and see if he has any extra if u need them now? if not, let me know at LEAST 2-3 weeks in advance so i can fill your request.
  16. i used to be into this.. U may be like me or you may not but coming from a person who builds pcs.... i still didn't want a carpc in my ride... I like to do things right and by right, i mean the best PSU for the pc, the best hard drive bay to prevent death, the best pure line in with no analog volume adjustments(like what u are looking for).. the best of everything.. because, it needs it. After factoring in over $1g easy.. and i was still counting up... i decided to stop... I was adding a LOT more than just a typical pc though too.. i was gonna set it up for video surveillance, etc... mp3car is a great overwhelming place to go but i would search in OTHER places before i go straight over there.. You will have a brain meltdown of information if you are new to carpc.. Due basic research on things to look for and expect then when you have a broad grasp of it.. then go to mp3car and find your detailed answers... Otherwise, you 'll keep digging yourself further and further into more and more complex knowledge that you'll be wantin to find out how the computer can control your house..lol. Ie- carpcs can monitor OBD-II diagnostics... as an example of things u need not know at this time... i could go on and on.
  17. honestly, if i thought the ipod was effecting it.. it would be the higher notes, not the lower ones.
  18. if u did this with no load on the amp.. then that is why... IF you did it with a load on the amp... an increase of voltage is showing an increase of impedance rise and a drop in voltage would show a lot of current output resulting in low impedance rise.
  19. might want to see if u have somethin boosted on the amp or headunit below 50hz.. Also, it's been known that amps try to put out more power in the lower range.
  20. watch out for those selling on CL that mention no texting... someone i know just went thru a dealing thru someone who was found to be a local thief in the area that posted the same thing on CL... He would monitor calls and call u back on blocked number and have u meet somewhere.... too shady to be legit in the first place, let alone later to find out the stuff was stolen.. Long story but just to let u know.
  21. you know why they don't look at it like that, the spelling... Because so many people do not know how to type.. it's common knowledge to expect typos from all these kids on the forums. "Oh look, Steve didn't spell his name right.... haha, let me ask him if he can pop my eye out..."
  22. you know what's really gonna be funny, don't ya? People envy him because he makes vid out the ass and people are dumbfounded at the constant reaction videos... Now, your name alone is attractive as you know that... but..... What's gonna happen when u get this wagon and do that build.... It's gonne be a Steve Meade vs not Steve Meade on the internet, lol. It's a pre-meditated Paradox waiting to unfold... the nuthuggers of our generation will fall and go completely unconscious... It will be the black hole of car audio... The end of builds as we know it.
  23. wait a minute... are you the REAL SteveMead on SSA?!?! OMG... you are my hero! lol
  24. x2 or your amps are set correctly causing them to turn the excess power that its trying to make into heat. How are your amps set, whats the pre-out voltage of your headunit, how high are your gain settings? My amps are already hot when I get in the car and get pretty hot depending how hard im pushing them and how long, just like any electronic piece of equipment after use its temperature will rise subtantially and if the air around it is not cool then it will just add to it. If worried about change listening habits or turn the gains down some. Even though I know you guys barely have winters but wait till the temperature cools and if you keep your setting exactly the same your amps will be way cooler. Pre-out voltage for my H/U is 2v and Gain is little below half, with gain control knob at half. Yea, what Cheese said
  25. haha, LOL, who is this guy watchin the forum- "not Steve Meade" lmao
