I dont know about 4,000 engine rpms, hehe. Most alts like to reach max output on engine between 1800-2600rpm. Anyone who makes an alt that doesn't peak on someone's vehicle til 4000rpm... or hell even at 3000rpm without the use of an underdrive pulley is 100% full of crap and should remove their company out of the alt business. DC Power's customer support is unlike any other. Who would publicly give out their personal cell phone number to the world to ensure that when a potential customer has any questions, they can call when they are not open? Who ships 2day air for free even if has to be paid twice for item mismatch? Who literally gives away free services and upgraded alts for free when 1 thing is missing\damaged? Who fabricates custom brackets specifically for your car even if the bracket on your car broke and was your fault? Who ships out replacement alts and lets you receive it WEEKS before sending back the wrong alt? Who lets you make steady payments on an alt if you dont have the money up front? Who talks the talks and walks the walk when proving idle output? Who is concerned about their company's impression to the world so much that they will do ANYTHING to make it right for a customer regardless what it costs? Who is this company? DC Power Engineering

what? I'm saying the remote knob that comes with these amps are GAIN controllers. You set the maximum gain on the amp itself. The remote gain is there so you can control how much voltage you wish to feed into the amp and maxing out the knob will only reach the level at which the gain on the amp is set at.

the reason why the clipping light flashes with music is because since music is dynamic, when it PEAKs in a split second, that's the clip flash. That's why it's normal when you are at the threshold of a clean signal to see it flashing like that. Solid red means the bass line(s) in play are fully clipped and that's not good. I mean, us, competitors have ran our equipment into full clipping for well over 45seconds straight without failure but as soon as they start heating up.. it's time to give them a break. When u say you turn the knob up when the bass is lacking... You do realize that knob is a Gain controller and not a bass boost, right?

yea, i read that thread and i believe the batt was abused, possibly more than what is being told as well that contributed to it's death. Point being- if someone lets a 12v batt drop below 11v DAILY! deserves to have the batt get damaged. Mistreat products and they will mistreat you.

u can clearly see on just comparing specs alone that XS Power can deliver higher current for short bursts than Kinetik can. In the competition world, that's the primary thing to look for in a battery. The Kinetik's have longer reserve times like a UPS battery but the Kinetik's do have higher Max amps than a UPS batt, just falls short compared to Batcap or XS Power.

when will the patent(s) for this device be finalized so you can spill the beans on exactly how this device works as i still have many questions about how this device works.

i've never been a fan of Kinetik and no offense to kinetik fans based on the independent lab test that was done comparing the 16v kinetik vs xs power. Simply put, the kinetik 16v batt has a higher rated aH, weighs more and cost only $30 less than the xs power batt. The test concluded as follows- 500A load was placed on the batts. Kinetik lasted 21sec XS Power lasted 85sec!!!! 4x the time length = 4x the battery. I've always been an XS Power fan but when money gets tough... Deka is the fallback option,

ok, so it sounds like they may just suspend their business until they move... Still yet, why would any dealer stop dealing with a company based on a move? It doesnt matter if they moved from 300mi away to 1000mi away.. it still has to be delivered to the store??? I don't know.. unless they moving out of the country....

I cannot find this info anywhere but i was at a seminar for a big show coming every year in Louisville, KY next month. The dealer there said that they would have still been a current Kinetik battery dealer but they had to get rid of their inventory because there are rumors goin around saying that Kinetik is about to close for good... Now, i have never seen this posted anywhere but a dealer would have first hand knowledge of such action so i dont know really what to believe. It doesn't hurt me any but for those who like the company, might be something to look into.

theres nothing wrong with the amps.DJ made it so easy to setup these amps that users complicate the setup. we hsve seen it over and over again.and trust me, if there were just a few with unknown problems, production would hslt.they are tested before being shipped overseas and again before shipping out to a vustomer.ssa forum hates cell phones...

yea he's right, there's another brand that mocks this case that i've built two other systems out of, the company is called Azza. Those fans are low rpms but massive size fans and move just the right amount of air.

i am assuming the amp u have is a power acoustik 5500w amp or a board very similar. They are only capable of around 3,000w. Due to that, i'd say a single D2700 or a single D3100 would do fine.

i do agree with sundownz, my impression clearly isn't debated on quality.. that should be a given on which is of higher class,

it's amazing how you can tell who reps who. Many people must not know that.

the dual 2 ohm sub may read 1.4 ohms per coil on a dmm and that's normal. Wiring both subs in parallel will give you a 1 ohm nominal load which will read 0.7 ohms on a dmm.

ok so now u have an SUV. Bare minimum suggested NET volume for each 18 is 5cuft i believe. Running a volume below that would lack serious low end and would cause the tuning to peak way further down the frequency range from it's tuning frequency. Also, you must run a lot more power when using smaller than suggested volume or the output will lack compared to a properly built box. I do not suggest it. If i suggest anything, those 18s can be ran in larger boxes up to 10cuft NET. If you want it louder, i'd suggest either rebuilding a larger box for a single 18 or add more power to your existing box but do NOT do both. The larger the box, the less power it can handle mechanically so if you do build a larger box, test it's movement afterwords to make sure you wont kill it.

well u can or u can just drill a large enough hole to pas the wire through then silicone inside and out of that hole. I also sprayed foam around the area too but that may be overkill.
