my reasons are probably different than his. if this wire is for your single ICON, you can use 10awg just fine, probably 12 but i'd personally do 10. For me, it's for comps so totally different reason. For the OP, i'd stick with speaker wire too. Not necessary to go crazy.

That's what i'm about to do. I need 95ft though for 4 15s, I'm considering runnin 2 runs of 8awg for every terminal.

You guys arent seeing what he did. PUT THE SMALLER PULLEY BACK ON. The smaller pulley lowers the pulley ratio allowing the new alternator to start charging at idle. Since you have removed it and put a larger one on it, the alternator is NOT ON. It's idle charge isn't being kicked in until at a later stage, anything over idle. Pulling any current at the state it's in right now at idle is the same as doing it with the car off. Also, it's VERY bad to keep it like that because it's pulling lots of current out of the battery to keep the car running. I hope you aren't in a traffic jam anytime soon with that large pulley on there. It's common to have to change belts when installing a high output alternator.

i guess because he has loads of money and his builds are of very high quality. Of course they are not of the highest potential but he seems to be a smart man, cool person to be around and it isnt everyday that people roll up with setups like his. OK, got everything workin again on the car. Dealership ordered a replacement module for the HVAC controls and the check engine light was due to pressure being escaped out of the gas tank... The gas cap was on properly but somehow it was still leaking air out of it.. They re-tightened it and it cleared it. Fedex just stopped by to show u guys this-

i have one. The only fear i ever have is driving it to a movie theater or especially a theme park.... I usually go to theater during the day right now so it's less risky. Theme parks... well, haven't figured that one out yet.

burps and bass race. For bass race, i highly doubt i could ever wire down to 0.17 ohms on a 1ohm stable amp so this is purely focused for burps.

ok, if my impedance rise in my install is high enough to wire down to 0.17 ohms(all parallel), this will yield a very low BL then correct? i must be very careful.

I'm assuming if i had one of those woofer testers to pull the T/S parameters of a speaker, it would pull different specs if i took a single DVC subwoofer and tested it wired in series, then tested it again in parallel. Well, i dont have one so i'm gonna rely on those experienced here to relay some info to me. I will be using 4 subwoofers, 2 subwoofers per amp. Each pair of subs are dual 1 ohm. I have 2 ways of wiring this- 1 - Parallel both subs then series them to the amp 2 - Series both subs then parallel them to the amp Is there a difference in SPL potential between the 2? this info is pertaining to a meter, not the ear. I notice when looking at specs of subs, in general, when comparing their Dual 1 and Dual 2 versions, Dual 1s have less MMS, higher efficiency, but lower BL. Is this what to expect if i parallel then series them? Educate me.

if u need to charge a battery up, go with the slower method. Fast charging doesnt top them off as good as slow charging.

Hey you owners, lol. I need to know what is the mounting depth of JUST the magnet itself. The website says 8" for the whole subwoofer but i am designing my wall and need to draw out the magnet so i can properly run allthread without running into the magnets. So... just the magnet itself, what is the depth? Thank you.

another delay... Got a check engine light on the car out of the blue today so gotta go take it and have it diagnosed and see what's wrong. During this whole time, i was suppose to install the side walls... There is another problem with the HVAC controls as well so they might keep my car.. wont know til later on tomorrow.

take it however u want but i'd look for a job that has a demand that will never end. An example is hospitals and food industry. The odds of being let go in the food industry is very rare. But it also depends what part of the food industry you work in.. I can see people getting laid off in hospitals.. too many employees. I work for a restaurant warehouse and the company cannot fire anyone there unless of course you do something crazy stupid... They will instead transfer an employee to a different division of the company. So, point is, since u are free right now, look for a job that has a high future demand.
