i need help with a crotch rocket.... anyone?
might be a vacuum leak since it's an older bike. take a water bottle and spray around any area that you think it may be leaking at... Do this when it's running odd.. IF you spray the area, if it's leaking, in the right place, the bike will temp seal and run normal for a little bit.. If that happens.. bingo.

battery
i would NOT suggest a constant 14.7v charge... Some aftermarket companies use regulators to force the regulator to stay at a preset voltage which isn't wise for AGM batteries. The hotter it is outside, the lower the charge should be. It's possible to overcharge and swell an AGM battery on just 14.7v. Temperature plays a role here.. This is why I opted to use a company that uses OE regulators and not aftermarket regulators.

White Girl Up in the Trunk.... Literally..
So, on my way to work today.. me and my co-workers were bumpin some "white girl." Unknown to us until we look closer at what is in front of us is an epic reproduction of what we were listening too, lol.. well metaphorically that is, hehe.

I have a question... Example scenario- 80v 20a @4ohm= 1600w 80v 40a @2ohm= 3200w 80v 80a @1ohm= 6400w In real world, by the time i get to 1ohm, the voltage will sag a little but disregard that.... If i had an amp and only a DMM.. why does impedance even matter in terms of let's say to the point of viewing a clip on an oscope... Are we on the same page so far? @1ohm - 64ohms, etc.. for example.. there will be a limit that the amp starts to clip.. Now, let's disregard music, let's just be using test tones... Are you(someone in here, hehe) saying that if i set an amp to 80v at one tone and it was clip free... another tone at 80v can possibly clip? To keep the scenario more realistic, the electrical system remains the same throughout all tests and all source material is the same from one frequency to another. It is my understanding that the voltage output itself is what gets over-driven to cause clipping. Low DC voltage drop will cause an amp to clip sooner but i have never measured to see if a bad electrical system allows AC voltage output up to, IE- 80v, and still be clip free or if low DC voltage actually lowers AC output voltage which can then create clipping.. i do not know.. . Debate..

my New Sp4 reads 2.2ohm With 3 diffeent DMM
Just be proud that DC and now SSA has a line of subs for every application... And just this year, DC reevaluated all of their sub lines and now have the m2 line. The prices have gone up about 40% compared to the original. Of course i run DC per my certain application but i view things on both sides and I do not agree that DC, in any way, sells garbage. They may not be as hands on as a buildhouse but that's common sense... Besides Fi and Mach5Audio having the ability to do their own designs "in house", are we to need or be forced to flock to these companies? No... America is, not maybe, but is the most over-saturated country that sells repetitive car audio technology to the masses.. but there IS a use for each company... Certain applications for certain people can greatly narrow down the choices they will use to go with a certain drivercompany. I know there is one or two companies that float around here that leave a skarce feeling in our minds... and those stories are mostly floating around the history of the customer service or the story of the owner himself... And if that is the argument, Rusty from DC is not a bad guy with poor intentions. Iwe can go into a never-ending debate about this company and that company but seriously, let's not...

i wasam in the same boat. It's called custom installation and you're the first to do it.... If you haven't researched anyone else doing what you are doing exactly then that's on you.. If you have and can't find anybody even remotely close to having done what you are doing now.. then expect the unexpected... Next week, i will be attempting the THIRD suspension installation in my vehicle... Already lost close to $1k with no progress.... Even though you may have spontaneously spent several $k more than i have recently, your money is all going toward progress... now, if you came back in here and said the new tranny blew up.. well, then i might have to drive down there in TN and go to the bar with you to cry it out,- First MECA run ever
exactly.. headrest metering is known as Reality SPL- First MECA run ever
MECA's scores are always lower than any other league because they measure at the headrest which has ZERO loading around it.- Guess What's Inside The Box
I actually came up there a while ago and took that pic and came back to post it... You never knew i was there!- Guess What's Inside The Box

you need more audio equipment in that ride then,- Audio technix deadener.....
Funny that you post that Aaron... There is a thread that was created on another forum of mine that was, of course, left open... By the end of the thread's run... Some people wanted me to actually delete the thread because it was confusing... Basically, someone had a problem with a product so i publicly helped them fix it from start to finish... Then all the customers came in thinking they had to do the same even though there product was fine so everyone was getting to technical with information and everybody thought all products were defective, lol. Well, I learned a long time ago, you won't advance your company if you do not root through your problems first. That's why we sent out a product for a special someone to test and give us their full non-biased opinion on everything. And it was posted publicly for the world to see and I even copied it to our OWN forum even though about 35% of it was negative. So what happened? We now have a viewpoint that we never seen before. The customer's viewpoint. Within 2 months, everything that was viewed as negative or poor was re-manufactured, repackaged, re-everything, etc... And now.. We are proud we did it in the beginning and not years later with people "living with it" and seeing no one else complain about it because.. The Vendor Deleted All Negativity! Later on, we got a public complaint about a product that had actually failed and something broke off inside... My first thought was.... Well, we need to get this taken care of, but also, YES!, it's public, hehe. There isn't much to our products vs let's say an amp so any type of failure would be GOOD NEWS even though it may be bad currently to the customer. We got the customer taken care of, sent them a NEW product, Re-Warrantied it for another year, upgraded their product to do more measurements and longer lasting suction cups when placed on windshield. We didn't have to say anything publicly.. Within 3 days, the complaint thread turned around 180 degrees with nothing but praises and recommendations. We thrive on negativity.. to an extent, hehe. don't make up stuff, hehe. We are in it for keeping up with modern technology so we are always looking to better things. I leave with this- If someone covers their tracks due to negativity or complaints about a product... It is my FIRM belief that company does not have the necessary funds to cover problems that can always arise when doing business. It's the only thing that makes sense to me. If a company is that "broke", then their warranty service when a mirage of problems comes in at once (if that ever happened) would be like RD all over again... Nothing in this world is manufactured 100% perfect. Everything is capable of being damaged.. Are you able to cover that capability? IF so, at what % of your inventory? 20%? 40%? 100%? 200%?- sub placement to avoid loading/unloading issues with port
how about increasing port area enough to get that port to run to the other side of the box... Don't forget to factor in the acoustical length around the corner and up a couple inches past the exit of the port from within the box.- Welcome to the IHoP
get the program- xvid4psp. That software is free and WELL worth it! Save in a mobile format guaranteed to play on ipad or android. IT will convert anything to anything. IF you need any codecs, it will act stupid if you need any, get the Shark codecs, full package searchable via yahoo. I would not suggest getting the codecs unless converting is a failure.- Audio technix deadener.....
SMD is the epitome of all that is unholy and stupid. CACOROEDIYMA can be moderated at a decently controlled level if At had the guts to do so... Being a vendor at one of those sites, i could allow someone to come in and tell me my product is crap and they are ready to kill us and torture us, etc, lol.. As long as i contact the right person via phone.. i can have that stay open as long as i want to, i have no problem with that.. But if a vendor chooses to allow the Admins to run their company for them.. that's where it's just a joke to the public. Take it from me.. If you are on CACOROEDIYMA as a vendor and your stuff keeps getting deleted by whoever, the vendor is being unprofessional. In the long run, either they or someone else is fixing their mistakes because they have no idea what to do...- Soundigital Amps
especially since 16ks install is just a drop-in! Wait til he tunestweaks, rebuilds, etc...- Soundigital Amps
in a sense, yes. They are built to withstand 1ohm wiring, but even 0.7ohms at rest is not suggested.. that's how "on the edge" it is suggested. Look at there 1ohm and 2ohm ratings. They aren't much different. Good news is wiring at 1ohm can net you LOTS of ACTUAL power vs other amps out there. You won't find any large powerhouse amps that can do the power SD amps can do at 2ohms.- Soundigital Amps
Something i can say that i've read from SD before... There amps are capable of doing there power at 2ohm and just a hair more at 1ohm. They are stated to safely be ran at 1ohm but strongly encourage those to never even attempt wiring below 1ohm as 1ohm is on the edge of safety as it is.- Flip Out Help
Like how are you going to be using it and what features do u need?- Building a smaller ported box, what do you lose?
custom music needs to be tuned lower.. normal music usually peaks in the high 30s to the 40hz range. Speaking mechanically, i don't see a problem here in which to bring up better mechanical handling in a smaller box because the power source in this scenario is nothing large for the driver being used. The only real way this driver could mechanically get damaged is simply by having the SSF off or extremely low. The larger the box, the better it can produce the low end, the smaller the box, the more it can not do that. If you tune low and build small, it will still tend to want to peak higher than normal. IE- 2.25 at 32hz might want to peak in the mid to high 30s. 1.75 at 32hz might want to peak in the mid to high 40s.- BC 1100.4 PROBLEM FED UP
not disagreeing with what you are saying about it going in protect but curious at the same time- What would logically make an amp go into protect by adjusting the xover?- ShiZZZoN's Build #2 The Epicness of 2011-2024
i'll tell u what i know man- When both air springs air aired to same PSI(when the first one was just leaking slow..) the BAD air strut actually sits up a good 0.75" higher than the other side that does not have a problem! That right there indicated that LESS weight is being put on the bad strut.... Another thing, airlift told me possibly a defect in the car can be creating stress points on their air strut on that side causing damage... If that's the case, only removing all the weight would fix it... BUT since the whole assembly lines up perfect, it would be no worse than cornering hard in a car, know what i mean? Coil springs by themselves are $1440.- ShiZZZoN's Build #2 The Epicness of 2011-2024
Well, i'm gonna calm down a little.. Talkin to teamramrod on the phone, we are gonna work on a backup solution in case the 3rd air spring goes bad this weekend... Coil spring- besides them being $1700 installed.. being told by the shop and the company who sells them that they are not designed to go up to handle weight so it would be a waste of money. Teamramrod has a custom heavy duty spring solution from a local company he works with that has the ability to custom make me some springs over my stock struts to raise the car -2.5-4.5" higher.. but i'm only going to fall back on this IF i have too. - When it rains it pours
