There are only a few states that have the average income and quality of life that MN does....You also don't have to be filthy rich to eat well, and live well. The cost of living here is not really cheep, but there is so much to do that is free..... It's crazy! Always ups and downs for every place. There is no such thing as 'perfect'. J

I'm across the bay from Tampa in St Petersburg. Within 15 mins of the gulf of Mexico. I dig the weather and so far the people are pretty relaxed. Just doing the work hunting thing. J

Als went and humored myself by looking at some homes today. SomeI liked but had concerns about the foundation as some floors seemed uneven, and ceilings has cracks. Others just looked like they were never touched since the 50's. still one or two were amazing, except kne oddity. The unfinished garage. NO celing cover in some of them at all. Just open beams. And the damn thing is attached!!! J

How mechanical are you? Depends on the task. Can I do simple basic shit, yes. Rebuild a motor, tranny or run new lines? Not without some help. J

No transfer brother. I am on paid vacation (using up the rest of my vacation time as I transition out) until August 27th. Already in FL and now job hunting again, as well as apt/house hunting. Also, to buy or to rent....any opinions? J very nice! i lived in fla for many years.... what took you there? before i start bagging on the state Brother and his wife.....had a job on the table but that went off the table it seems. Kinda pissed about that. As for rent....why rent over purchase? J honestly i would rent untill you decide if you like the place... i hated FL. i could not wait to get out.. and once i did i felt so free..... and its not just me.. i moved my sister out of FLa my mom and my brother.. . my sister today can tell you if she would have stayed in FLa that she would not be where she is today.... and both of us if we look back at everyone we knew, they are still shit.. and will never be shit... its fucking weird.. its like the state is a bucket full of crabs..... once your there you just cant seem to leave,.. the crime rate it out of this world, the pay scale is jacked. and the cost of living any where decent is too high, because of snow birds or tourist , people treat each other like shit i could go on and on but maybe thats just the way i seen it... i feel lucky to have gotten out and ill never move back ,. i hope all works out for you sir!
