How to figure out the AH rating of your battery?
Hello, I have a duralast gold under the hood, and I'm curious to know it's amp hour rating so I can figure out what else i need (alt/batteries) to power my amps. (about 3000 watts)

How about we swap cabs so I can have the new dash and a lot of room for BASSS!?!? haha I'd love to cut it, but the truck is for my dad..

I hope so!! Ha thanks man, the 145 range would be awesome though.. I might be loosing a db or so with the floor like it is. I was thinking about that yesterday; Some of the floor mounts may be messed up from when it was wrecked.

Poly Fill? Anyone ever used thiss?
That sucks.. lol I was hoping to get more like %20 percent since the net volume is only 2.6.. (i hear this method is most effective in smaller enclosures)

Lol, I always thought about doing a blow through.. I use my bed though, and I know i'd start spending a lot of money on subs and amps with all that room to play with.. lol

Xcon 15's... Is it possible?
With aero ports you need 55%-70% of the conventional port area you would need. so lets say you use about 8 cuft after displacements for your two xcons.. Following the rule of 12-16 square inches of port per cube, you would need 96-128 inches of port area with a non flared port. With the aero's, you will need 53-90 square inches of port area. Personally i'd try to get around 70... (3) 6 inch areos gives you 85 square inches. (5) 4 inch ports gives you 63 square inches.. You could do the three 6's and be fine. But they would each have to be about 23 inches long for 33 Hz tuning.. You could do the five 4's also, and they would only have to be about 17.5 inches long for 33 Hz. Just five of these ports will be expensive.. You could probably do a slot port if it didn't interfere with the subs once they are mounted.. Also, you are building this for 2 15" Xcons right?

Ok, so I have a 3.3 total cuft box as a center console and i cannot reach over to the other side of the truck to roll down the window/unlock the door. (no power windows/locks sucks) I hear if you add poly fill to an enclosure, the enclosure behaves as if it is larger.. So I was thinking build a smaller box, but add polyfill to make it seem larger. So in the end, I will not have sacrifice output with a smaller box. If this is possible, about how much air space could polyfill potentially account for?

(2) RE SX 18's IN BAGGED TAHOE
No, personally, since he has two red tops... Red Tops are starting batteries; not deep cycle.. I told him he should do a little more with the electrical to protect his investment.. But no stock battery.. stock alternator..

Hmm.. He's really only focused on the sub stage right now so there isn't a whole lot of description but i'll do my best. (2) SAZ 1500Ds strapped at 2 ohms (2) Optima Red Top Batteries; one under the hood, one in the console (1) Alpine IVA-W505 (1) Big three with KnuKoncepts 1/0 wiring (1) 1/0 KnuKoncepts Power Wire (1) BIG ASS BOX tuned to 34z.. lol (7.6 per sub) 19 cuft before displacements.. (2) RE SX (NOT SXX) 18s (4) U2 35S 24'' Wheels (4) 255/30-24 Tires AirBagIt.com bag kit with custom upgrades..

(2) RE SX 18's IN BAGGED TAHOE
You didn't see this one on a forum. Dylan, my buddie, sketched it up awhile back but we just built it like a week ago. I'm not sure what kit he used, but he's running a triangulated four link in the back..

Want to build a home sub enlcosure
My next problem is powering it. I was thinkin about using my receiver. but the dual four can only be wired to 2 or 8 ohms. Think it could wire it to 8 ohms and connect two speaker outputs together from my receiver?

Slot Port vs. Round Port
Well I was going for the least restrictive port. I guess you could fire out of the like you want but with the same internal idea that i had. You'll just need to add a triangle piece of wood in the corner to change the direction of the air flow. Also I won't be building this box, someone else will be. I have no carpentry skills. I would like to build it myself. But it is too complicated. Building is really interesting sometimes. You come up with many ideas to fix your screw ups..
