  1. Throw that shit in the garbage and either build a sealed enclosure for the two subs. Once you have experience with a sealed box then step up to a ported box.
  2. I'd try to narrow your subject just a little if you only have 8 minutes to work with.
  3. Since you're the dark one with the scruffy beard, what the hell does that say.
  4. Pulling volume and tuning out of thin air for any driver is not the correct way to design an enclosure. Just because you tune at a certain frequency doesn't mean you are gonna hit the LOOOWWWWSSS
  5. You need to fugue out how they will be mounted first. A driver designed to work off axis sealed may not be the best driver to used Infinant baffle or ported.
  6. Outside of racing. . . .All my shit gets Steins, except my old T-bird, but I got a deal on some Red Konis that was too good to pass up. They make pretty nice stuff too. I've always been partial to moton's
  7. Buy 2 chickens. Old hens if possible. Spatchcock them at the spine and then sear the skin. Use bacon fat and make sure to salt liberally. Flip chickens over and lay skin side up in a pan that can collect juices. Under the chickens have celery, carrots, garlic clovers cut in half and onion. A little more EVO on top and roast slowly until just under done temp.Let cool enough to separate bones and chicken. Put bones and juices in a roasting pan and add enough water to cover about half the bones salt bones and add any herbs you may want. Splash or 2 of soy sauce. I reccomend taragon as one of the herbs. Salt and pepper well, then roast bones in oven. Once bones are roasted put into a large pasta pot. If you have the straining liner use it. Fill pot with water and vigerous bring to boil, then gentle bubbling simmer. Simmer for an hour or so with a closed lid. Taste broth and fix what ever needs to be fixed. Then strain. Bring broth to a boil and ladle over rice noodles and chicken. If you want more traditional simmer carrots and later celery. then add broth and veg into a bowl with cooked noodles (fat home made egg noodles are best). Make sure to keep the noodles and soup separate until serving. two major problems. 1 - use duck fat, 2-don't ever boil it'll cloud it all up. Simmer is fine. Huh..... I don't know about the clouding up thing. I never noticed...probably don't care much either. I also don't know where to get duck fat. If I did I would fill a bathtub and confit myself. Easiest way to not cloud up is to simmer long and low with JUST the animal parts. Veggies take nearly no time and when they breakdown too much you end up with a stock that is clouded as well. The clouding doesn't lead to as nice of a mouth feel either. Raw animal coulds less than cooked. Definitely start all cold with cold water. Bring to near boil on stove and then plop in a 180F oven for 24 hours or use a slow cooker. About the only use I can think of for a slow cooker. Okay, one other. Fermentation pot if you've got control of a really low setting. And for duck fat... http://www.amazon.com/Fat-Rendered-Duck-Lb-Pail/dp/B003UMZADC/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1367173037&sr=8-9&keywords=duck+fat Ought to be enough for a bathtub Lordy. Don't you need to refrigerate it?No, duck fat is very low in FFA (free fatty acids) about 0.5 % which is what causes food to go rancid. Your typical cooking oil can be up to 10% which are normally treated with a preservative.
  8. The designing on them have been completed. The samples for them will come with my next production order.
  9. .5 micron can remove some color and body. But not much taste.
  10. I bought a new gun. So in her view it was only fair that she got a new toy too
  11. Go price stainless shower pieces. I broke down last month and remodeled the ole lady's part of the bathroom. The parts alone for the 10 piece brushed stainless rain system was nearly 6 grand.
  12. Stop being so cheap and get a hand beat copper one to match the cookware.
  13. I use this. http://www.rockler.com/m/product.cfm?page=32007
  14. They have a smaller one as well 2.5 Hp I believe. I have found the Jasper jigs aren't perfect. They work for most people but can be off by 1/16-1/32 of an inch.
  15. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0000222V7/ref=mp_s_a_1?qid=1367176095&sr=1-7π=SL75
  16. I get all my filtration stuff from. filtersfast.com I use it for my wine
  17. I have a 4 stage filtration system that would remove particulates and cloudiness. It uses a 110v pump (you could use a pump sprayer). It passed thru a 50 micron strainer, a 5 micron filter, a 1 micron filter, and finally a .5 micron filter. Minus the pump I have about 100 bucks in it.
  18. That is not how how SD is calculated. ALL formulas for loudspeakers are formulated using Thiele and Small's work. Their definition of effective piston area is radius (1/2 of driver diameter surround apex to surround apex) squared times PI. And VD is effective piston area times xmax. Xmax is NOT @ 70% BL as most manufactures list. The definition for xmax used in formulas is coil overhang.
  19. okay cool! thank you. i'll look into the kits from lowes or home depot. also, are there any decent priced routers you would recommend? i just figured out the one i was looking at isnt compatible with the jasper jig Spend the extra money and get a 3/4 horse porta cable. Night and day difference than big box level routers. It'll last your lifetime. You might have to change out the motor brushes every 10 years or so with daily use but they are only a few bucks
  20. I'm sure he would if you really wanted them back. But what's the cost of samples compared to getting free testing done by one of the top figures in the industry.
  21. For the Icon, we wanted to bump up the motor strength with the new model, we could add a shorting ring down the road after sometime and modeling/testing etc. with an updated version. But it will only add more machining time and more cost to an already VERY costly to build driver in it's respective market segment, for factional gains in lowered inductance that customers have not shown any signs of wanting yet. The Evil plays so flat and clean as it stands, it does not need it. Side note, the Evil needs less juice to get up and rolling from the start then the Zcon. It is unfortunate that sound quality is an after thought for most buyers. Which I am sure is why the market is more biased towards spl.I would love to see Klippel results for all SSA drivers That would answer a few questions some folks have like myself. Just because the market does not demand the SQ I prefer, that does not mean in the slightest we over look it or ignore it in our sub woofers. In general, SQ biased sub woofers, usually need greater development time, higher levels of accuracy in construction due to it that part of the market being so spec driven, tighter tolerances, etc. etc. etc. All leading to much higher build costs. With that said, the internet market is blindly ruled by RMS ratting relative to price. Hence why our original Gcon approach was shelved due to the pricing having to be up in the Icon range. We do have Klippel test results from the original Icon, but that machine is no longer in unbiased hands. Would much rather have Sean (///M5) with access to superior testing equipment be sent some models for test results, but then again, that would cost a good chunk of money we do not have to spend.Vance Dickason will do unbiased testing for free and publish the info in Voice Coil. All he asks for is two samples for comprehensive testing.
  22. I don't know either I got a 1.6 liter on a 383 and you can barely hear it. You can hear the belt a little but nothing like a novi
  23. Besides dental cleaning twice a year is covered by my health insurance. Along with any damage not caused by lack of hygiene.
