Welcome to the IHoP
Ya Ive seen that! sucks but I hope you end up getting it all together soon! I haven't researched comps much around me up in BC but there is usually a couple each year. Did you end up getting a new head unit yet Rick?

Welcome to the IHoP
Got my first noise complaint from my neighbors for playing for less than 2 minutes to check my wiring at 830 at night only. Said their dishes were rattling. I live on 13 frickin acres on the very edge of town fully treed. Same neihbours who called cops on me when I rode my sport quad in my backyard. Wouldn't be so bad but now got in a huge argument with my parents and Dk what I'm gonna do now!

CUSTOMER FEEDBACK SECTION for SSA
10/10 for me as well SSA has amazing customer service and great products, love my 2 15" Icons, even on only 100 watts each they are nuts! Placed 3 different orders in last 2.5 months and i've been extremely happy with everything so far, and don't expect that to change. Thanks Mark and Aaron.

sundown e10s or incriminator audio i series 10"
I personally had a incriminator I 10" in a custom box 1.25 cubic feet tuned to 32-33hz with around 16-square inches of port. It was very impressive on about 400 watts. Was loud but got nice and low. I beat on it for about 2 months hard then switched it out for 2 15" SSA icons. (Will be putting it in my Lil SIS's car. Also got a set of 12" sundown e series I'm installing for a friend so I'll get to try them out. For the money the I 10" sounds as good as subs twice as loud. Had a good 1/2"-1" roof flex in my Dakota from the one 10"

2003 Dodge Dakota crew with 2 15" Icons
So I figured out what was wrong with the subs. Was just my memory on wiring. Using the terminals I forgot if I had the coils horizontal or vertical so it was all screwed up so I took it apart and wired it all back up to 4 ohms on my little kicker kx550.3 and wow. Sounds amazing and moves a lot of air. Will post a quick video if I can tomorrow and then another one once I get my new amp tomorrow and get the alternator and the xp3000

i thought free shipping from ssa on sundown items?
Where do you eat out? That's the price of 2 beers and a tip, not meals. That's why I limit my going out to the bar. Too expensive,! Rather spend it on subs, amps or speakers!

i thought free shipping from ssa on sundown items?
I'd agree with this but when an item is $20.00 or so more from SSA then don't eat out for 2 meals and you've paid for it. The customer service Aaron and Mark give and just caring about what they sell is worth more to me than saving 20 bucks. Where else can you ask a question after hours and receive a response in less than an hour? I just placed an order for a new XS Xp3000 and while I could save a few bucks somewhere else I ordered from SSA because of the customer service and the time they invest in this forum helping out customers like you and me. problem is when people take all the info and the time they volunteer then buy from someone else to save five bucks. Thanks guys

Reinforcing roof in dakota crew
Ya I decided to just do basic deadening and try it. Put up a layer of dynomat and then camper foam between headliner and roof. Helped a TON! Still have flex of course but the roof doesn't pop and sound like tin. And headliner doesn't have much audible slap hardly at all even with 2 15" icons. I know it could be a lot better but was amazed how much just what I did helped.

One sub hitting harder
The bottom one is closer to the port. There's no weird noises and it is loud just worries me how one is moving more.

One sub hitting harder
Box is ported. The bottom sub is the one moving more. Its a slot port facing up with port on right side. Its in a dodge Dakota crew cab. Build log has pictures.

One sub hitting harder
One of my d1 SSA icons is not hitting near as hard as the other. I have them wired to 4 ohms. I followed 12volt wiring diagram for it. I tried swapping wires on one sub to change phase but it didn't really do anything, maybe helped a bit. Its been like this since I hooked them up. Any ideas?

2003 Dodge Dakota crew with 2 15" Icons
Ya that's kinda my plan. I'd rather not raise it though as the port is already about 7 inches away from roof. I'd also lose all visibility out the back. As for upgrading, I hate to think about it but ya if I upgrade I'd ad another crescendo bc2000 and wall the back adding another 2 15" icons, I'm thinking this will last hopefully for more than three months though. At 19 I gotta start planning my future now, just wanted a sweet sound system first. Gotta also fix my 1993 300zx TT and 88 rx7.

2003 Dodge Dakota crew with 2 15" Icons
Ya gotta figure out where to mount it but got a few ideas. Also ordered a couple sundown e12s to put in a friends car. my truck is very violent tho. Will make a video after I get the alt in, right now I can only hammer on it for like 30 seconds before I gotta turn it down cuts of voltage. Also swapped in my eclipse 36401 amp and bridged it to run my hertz hsks. Got rid of the buzzing
