  1. the oz me are great subs, but bad news they went out of business a while ago...
  2. I know its mostly geared a SPL driver but would this even come close to working ad a daily LOUD SOUND QUALITY beater on music??? thanks
  3. More and more lately I see more and more ROE members, most that are 15-21 that have probably never owned used or seen halfway decent equipment giving advice on which sub is better or amp, box etc. And the people asking these questions are honestly looking for an honest answer from someone knowledgeable that has either use seen or has worked with "x" product. I just see WAY too much this sub sucks or this is better when they've probable never heard seen or used any.. sorry to rant just my 2 cents... Joe...
  4. sorry to bring up and old thread.. but you'll get louder non wallwd in a crx style box woofers up, port back then walling.. I had a crx for a long time and tried all types of setups. My favorite overall were 2 tc sounds built ecclipse ti-9122 12's off an AMerican bass xd3000.. PLENTY loud good luck, Joe.. PS.. half if not 3/4 of the fun is in the build and design
  5. Thanks for putting all the effort into building a quaility kick ass 8" sub. I used to have 4- tang band 8"s off a jbl 1200. there's nothing like the look on someone face when you not only blow away their 2 or 4 or whatever jl/kicker or whatevers, but also sound 10x better... looking forwad to getting 4 of them. I've always had a sweet spot for 8"s ....... thanks, Joe. P
  6. honestly, I didn;'t want to ask, but since he brought it up, I was curious also. The logo and fonts are VERY similar. I didn't figure there related just wondering if you'd run into problems with DC shoes.. or if they'd even care..
  7. anybody?? I know someone on here has good ideas thanks, Joe
  8. Cascade.. very nice stuff.. Second skin, raamat.. all good, You can't go wrong with any of those 3.
  9. how many ft3 did you end up with after port and sub displacement. that box looks very narrow.
  10. I know somebodys bored and wants to designs me a chambered t-line / horn something or other
  11. I'm wanting to build a new enclosure for 2 12" Eclipse TI's sw-9122(tc 3HP) I currently have the in a CRX style enclosure 4ft3@35. Its in a CRX. This works well. I just want to try a different sttle enclosure. I really like the chambered t-lines Rich(stratus) from here and ROE designs. I'd like help designing a box like the one in the pciture below, its from a member on here. he did 2 separate boxes, but there CRX style sub up/port back.. so if anybody would like to give me a hand I apprecite it.. thanks, Joe
  12. Very nice subs.. hard to find better IMO. There plenty of subs that are out that are made by TC. Soundsplinter, some Eclipse, The Rockford Team RF, and a ton of others. They are all solid subs.. Just not cheap
  13. I have almost the same car but all black. I have 2 eclipse ti's(tc sounds) 9122 12's. Its almost overkill. Wait unitl you see the cabin gain from this car. its crazy.. From what I've been "told" not my experience. Is due to the cabin and car your better off running 2-10/12's for #'s. I'm curious as to see how 1 15/18" on 2000 rms + would do in the CRX.
  14. 88-91 is the same body style. I have a 89 CRX HF. gets 40+ MPG and loud as hell with just about anything
  15. Well I get it in the mail.. VERY nice internals I'll get a pic this afternoon if anyones interested. I've never seen guts quite like this before. Its got quite a bit of copper inside and the whole board is all shiny gold traces.. It just a very nice amp, bigger than I first thought.. its about 18" x 10" . Now that I can check it out in person I'm very glad I took the $50 risk off ebay and bought this.
