  1. I'm trying. Lol! Practice makes perfect, and God knows I need all the practice I can get. I'm hoping to do well at this comp. Thanks.
  2. Cool beans, see you there. FYI, I fessed up about the knee-highs to the Mrs. It's better she hears it from me than reads about it on the interwebs.
  3. O_o Lol! I'll be there. What days are you guys going to be there?
  4. Long time no talk how's everybody doing? I've got a little update to share. Since having my arse handed to me at an SQ comp in College Station and being a little jelly of all the badass fiberglass work I've been seeing as of late. I've decided to up my game a wee bit, starting with the a-pillars. Lets begin. I started off with a little flush mount pad for the tweeter and a little mdf wedge to mount it on the a-pillar. After a couple of measurements I mounted the pads onto the a-pillar with a generous amount of hot glue. A quick trip to the dollar store netted a nice pair of ladies knee-highs. I added some rubber bands to help shape the pod to my liking. I opted for a thin layer of resin on the nylon for a little rigidity before laying down some glass. With the rubber bands out of the way I laid down two layers of woven style fiberglass. FYI, all glassing materials were picked up at the local Wally-mart. After a light sanding some body filler went on. After some more sanding the light weight body filler went on. After even more sanding the surface is finally ready. With a show coming up I opted to install the a-pillars naked. Some time next week I'll be wrapping them in vinyl. For now some as installed pics. A shot from the drivers side looking towards the passenger side tweeter. Now from the passenger side looking at the driver side tweeter. Lastly a pick from the rear seat. Till next time, enjoy.
  5. Let me know when you're ready for some a/c and engine accessory brackets for that LS swap. I might be able to help. Sweet project.
  6. That port is a big'ums! How's the SQ gonna be? Serious question now. What kind of wood is that? Thnx.
  7. Scaling off the pic, those magnets look to be 10" in diameter.
  8. Looks nutty, like JBL's Differential drive thingie, but turned up to eleven.
  9. If the box is a common chamber there might be a loading issue depending on the distance of the subs to the port. What did the coils meter, new and old?
  10. Happy birthday!
  11. That's a weird looking button thingie.
  12. Looking forward to your results. You've come a long way since we first met. Impressive what hard work and determination gets you. Congrats.
  13. Nice ride with tons of buttons, buttons galore even. In to see how the Stevens HLCDs work out for you. I've got a pair myself, but just cant get the project rolling. :/
  14. I'll bring the beer and make fajitas, let me know when.
  15. Nice subs, congrats. Can't wait to see'em in action. I say call'em "Crushers".
  16. This sux for all parties involve. Wish I could help, but I've only got 15s in pairs. Hey there, how about Jon's NSv1s and a pair of BTLs?
  17. Looks bonkers. You should offer this franken-woofer in kit form for those with used SA-12 motors.
  18. Money is in installing and tuning, i.e. glassing and SQ. Good luck.
  19. happy birthday where ever you are.
  20. Happy birthday you big lug.
