  1. So it's been a while, I ended up building an enclosure for the MJ 18. I did a 15' x 12" cut through and it sounds great. I glassed the kicks temp installed still need to be sanded and painted. I'll try and get some pics soon. The wife started a new job and the schedules are tough. Chad
  2. Not the whole bed....lol I have 2 TC sounds 15" 3000 will be powered by a sundown 3000. I also will be using a sundown 100.4 for the front stage. Front stage = not sure yet sub enclosure = not sure as well All of this wil be at least a few months out. Chad
  3. ok so some more pics, as for system well I'm thinkin a single 10" for a few months while planning my Front stage and . . . . . BLOWTHROUGH! yeah I might just be crazy Chad
  4. Sorry guys, No pics tonight I just got home. As for what I am using it for..... lol nothing! just my daily driver and play toy! I have wanted a cummins for 7 yrs now and couldn't justify it. So my justification is 20+ mpg and my Hemi was only getting 9-10 mpg. Other then that Truck shows and Pulls. Chad
  5. Thanks for all the comments. I'll get some more pics tomorrow. Chad
  6. Thanks, Chad
  7. I traded in my 07 ram 2500 hemi and got this! 2011 Ram 3500 CTD 6.7 Cummins, 6 speed manual Chad
  8. So I was very disappointed with how this sounded and decided to take a little time to listen to several different cd's. Results! 99% of the problem was the cd she had in! It had alot of different songs that she always listens to however I didn't realize how low the quality of the cd was. As I listened to several other cd's, Radio and MP3's I was extremely impressed. The detail and the low-lows were back and it was able to get impressively loud.(now this is by no means a SQ setup. But it sounds good) On the very low notes now it flex's the back window so bad that the latch unlatched. For a single 12 I was impressed just how loud it got. True test! I had the wife listen to it and you couldn't of slapped the smile off her face!! Now she is impatient to get this finished. But I still have alot of work to do. 1.Glass the kicks 2.Run all the new power, grounds, rca's, speaker wire to doors and kicks. 3.Install amps 4.Sound Deadening 5.Cut hole in cab and box (install boot) 6.Rebuild enclosure out of birch(bedliner entire enclosure) 7.Bed cover So pending work and weather will determine how fast this all happens. Chad
  9. Having 3 boy's I love this feature.... lol •Optional car seat attachment: For the collection of methane to be used as alternate power source further diminishing your carbon footprint. Chad
  10. I got the enclosure all together. But before I cut the hole I wanted to hear it. so I put the enclosure in where the back seat normally is. I hooked it up to the PG 1200.1 @ 4 ohms As I started to listen to it I felt it was missing the lower notes. I checked all the settings and turned it up and down, played with the X-over and subsonic. I still was very un-impressed. I checked out several bass heavy songs and it was just lacking. Then! While listening to it my song opened the drivers door. WOW what a difference!!!! All of the notes were present and the truck was shaking like mad. Shut the door and back to very dull. Now I know doors open are always a little louder, but this is unbelievable. Did I mess up the box? Any Idea's? Chad
  11. I picked up some more materials tonight. I still have to glue and put in some bracing, I think I am going to bedliner the entire outside. hopefully the weather cooperates and I'll be making the cut soon. Chad
  12. Change of plans on the sub. Going to try a new design enclosure for the Mach 5 IXL 12. not sure if it will work but it's just time and some wood so why not try it. I used my grandfathers shop since it's still cold out. I started the quarter wave enclosure. I still have some more work just ran out of time. 7" x 12" x 113" long should be 30 Hz. 48" wide x 25" deep at the deepest x 13.5" tall. I had to use 3/4" counter top due to a 3 week wait for MDF or birch, but this will due for now. ok some pics. Thats all for now, hopefully finish it up this week. Chad
  13. My wife is cool like that, the only issue I have is she has no sense of SQ..... lol However 99% of the music she listens to is rap,r&b, and dance club. so it works for her. Chad
  14. I ended up getting called into work so no updates today. Chad
  15. Work has been crazy but finally had a little time to work on it today. Rockford fosgate components. Tweets are in, kicks started, once it warms up I will finish up the fiberglassing. I am hoping to get some time tomorrow. thats it for now. Chad
  16. opinions? Chad
  17. After some thought I think I am changing the enclosure design. I think I am going to face the sub and port towards the passenger side fired into a chamber and into the cab of the truck through a 15"x16" through port. Enclosure will still be 6.0ft^3 and tuned to 30-34 Hz. Any suggestions? Opinions? Chad
  18. I put the wife to work....lol I have to wait for some wood, Hopefully this week. Drawing out on scrap wood. Thats all for now. Question? If I cut the hole 15" x 26" will this opening be large enough? Thanks Chad
  19. Ok, finally have some time today and decent weather to get some work done. will have some updates and pics later. Chad
  20. WOW! Very nice. Chad
  21. Bracket: Dual Alternator Bracket--160 amp alt stock Year: 2007 Make: Dodge Model: Ram 2500 Engine: 5.7 Hemi I would like to know availability and price. Thanks Chad
  22. I have been thinking about how big I am going to make the hole in the box and cab. The enclosure is going to be 36" wide by 20" tall. I can only cut about 15"tall in the front of the box and still maintain structural integritty. so I am thinking I will make the cut 36"x15" However I am open to suggestions. thanks Chad
  23. no updates, been to busy at work. I'm hoping to get some work done this weekend. Chad
  24. pics thats all for now. Chad
  25. Made some templets where the front of the enclosure will meet the front of the box. The top rail of the box tips in about 2". I will probly work on the enclosure this weekend. Anyone have any better idea's for the enclosure? Opinions? Chad
