  1. I have two sets of comps in the For Sale forums, one Polk and one Seas. Either of them would come within your budget, including shipping. -fp
  2. Well there's your problem. You need OpenBSD! -fp

How about a quick shout-out to your fans and loyal customers? I think all of us just want to know you're doing OK and looking forward to LATCB (Life After TC Bankruptcy). -fp
  4. Very impressive. What else can be said? -fp
  5. It looks like you're trying to tear the Bronco apart from the inside out. Demolition FTW. -fp
  6. And this is a problem... how? -fp
  7. My 100.2 came in via UPS today. As usual, Jacob does a super job with packaging and shipping. I dropped it into the back of my 4Runner, wired it to bridge my RL-i8 DVC4 in the T-box, and it sounds great. -fp
  8. Looking back on your glassed enclosure, nice work. I'm enjoying the log, looking forward to seeing the finished box. Also tracking your "lawl count", currently up to 19 and counting. -fp
  9. It's been a while, but I'm starting to get back to work on my system. After blowing out a SAZ-1500D, I've ordered one of the SAX-100.2's on special to get me by until I can ship the 1500D off for repairs and upgrade my wiring. The 100.2 is scheduled to arrive tomorrow, so I'll probably put the T-box back in the 4Runner to gain some extra "umph". It's always bothered me that the staging in my 4Runner has been chit. I installed the tweeters in the factor A-pillar triangles, leaving me on-axis at ear level. This sucked for both driver and passenger. Lo and behold, I was digging through my parts downstairs and found the flush-mount hardware for the tweeters. I took out my kick panels and found a good space to mount it. Fortunately I had the 1.75" hole-saw or it would have drove me nuts overnight thinking about it. A few minutes later and the holes were perfect. Installed the tweeters in their new location and wow, what a difference. The right stage isn't fighting for attention, and the center stage is properly represented. I might try different variations of axis, but I'm very pleased right out of the gates. -fp
  10. I was (and mainly still am) a beginner with electrical capacity planning. So I should plan on ripping out the 4awg, installing a new run of 1/0awg, then re-using the 4awg for distributing to the amps? Thanks, -fp
  11. I'm trying to determine what my next step should be. My 2002 4Runner has a Sundown Audio SAX-100.4 on the front components, and had a Sundown Audio SAZ-1500D on the subwoofer. However, it appears my wiring is insufficient as I burnt the 1500D a while back (running sub-less for months now). I'm not sure what steps I should take to avoid this in the future. I have the stock battery and alternator, with 4-gauge to blocks and 8-gauge to each amp. In hindsight, this is terribly inadequate, but we only learn from our mistakes. What steps should I take next? Should I add a dedicated run from the main battery to the 1500D? If so, which gauge? Should I do the "BIG-3" or install a 2nd battery in the back? I presume it's some combination of these, but I'm clueless. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, -fp
  12. What are your dimensions? Pics would be really helpful too. -fp

  14. ping!
  15. Argh, I hate waiting over the weekend for a shipment!
  16. Got my UPS tracking information this evening.
  17. I'm not very familiar with any of those amps. Just wanted to throw in my recommendation for the Sundown Audio 100.4. It's a fantastic amp for LSQ, and Jacob's service is top-notch. The guys at SSA can give you a good quote. -fp
  18. Speaking of which, I'm about to partake in this offer. P.S. Hi denim!
  19. Long time no... -fp
  20. PM denim for a quote on Sundown amps, they can do lower than MSRP. The SAX-100.2 is a nice fit for the RL-i8 D4, and certainly within your budget.
  21. From my MacBook Pro:
  22. Indeed, Jacob really knows how to treat his customers. His products are excellent and his service is second-to-none. I hate to sound cliche, but it's really true!
  23. I'm going to be building a sealed enclosure for my two RL-i8s. I will probably put my T-Box up for sale, but I doubt I'll be shipping out to HI.
  24. You're welcome to adapt the recipe as it suits your tastes. My [much older than 25]-year old wife finds that this dish disagrees with her.
  25. Right , of course.
