i have a 200 amp ohio gen alternator, if you have 2 alts for 4 3000d's, then my alt should hold do me for now, right? for only getting 2 3000d's. but i'll check into those batts. i have an 01 explorer sport with the back seats out. the box is big, but i'm sure i can fit plenty of batteries in there. if they can be run at .5 ohms safely with the right electrical system, then i'll probably run the amps at 1 ohm for each pair. should be able to handle the high loads then for burps/bass race from the looks of it. i dont see any comps around here happening till probably spring time, so i have time to upgrade it. the Alpha Cell may be a bit difficult to find I got mine off of a fellow compedator at a show your going to need at least 2 0f them for 2 3000ds just keep an eye on your voltage and if it gets a bit low back off on it

ya Ive ran my 3000d at 1/2 ohm daily for a couple of monthes but Ive got a 200 amp alt a powermaster D2400 under the hood and I had 2 kinetik 800s in the rear connected togeteher with 6 runs of 1/0g wire but I recently replaced the 2 800s with an Alpha Cell 180GXL and even at low volumes it seems louder

would a line driver likely provide the same results? cause Ive been running one of the memphis 9 volt line drivers to my 3000d

What about the use of the remote bass knob? you should be fine useing it the knob shouldnt allow you to turn it up higher than what you set on the amp

turn off the bass bost then look into readjusting the gain I cant imagine how god awful it sounds with all that clipping

if you can fit the Powermaster D2400 under the hood I would go for that it is a beast of a battery I love mine and the 2 D3100s in the rear is kinda overkill for 3000 watts but thats the caraudio way if you wanted to cut costs just a bit Id just go with 1 D3100

*laughs* I will probably end up with some refurbished amps by the end of the season thanks to my competition guys They can always find a way to blow stuff up. No b-stock yet... but I'll probably have at least one by the time I go through them all. I tested six yesterday on my "lab Mags" (the pair of Mags I test everything with)... after six 3000Ds in a row the Mags were a bit smelly *laughs* yea them guys are the best kind of testing you can get if they cant kill em your in good shape

those batts are very nice you will like them I love my D2400 its like a rock
