im trying to get this guy to use them, if he can use 9 Gcons in a spl set up then this will greatly help the Gcons standing in spl use,. ..... like the SA.

not so much a downside, but you have to understand this guy knows the SA sub well.... and i know little to nothing about the Gcon, and its not a widely used field tested and battle proven sub YET. im trying to steel the guy the SSA way, thats why im asking people that have used both to give me some pointers of how the Gcon outshines the SA sub, i have already compiled a list. just looking to add to it,

you can try to raise your idle, it was pretty much the same way in my car, idle in park got higher voltage in drive was pretty low, while driving was up in 14's i dont want to clutter your build log but. this is a video too.. i think i sent this one to you when i was explaining how it fluctuates and this was the load testing i did on it the alternator was made to put out high when idled up , for cooling reasons, the voltage is controlled by the computer on the car... missinglink said they would build me a voltage raiser, because my mechman actually charges at less voltage then that alternator if you can believe that, it charged at 14 flat when its hot. 14.2 when cold. and same thing. 12 volts when its in drive with your foot on the break at idle and 1 more size smaller pully is available for it,. and that may be what it needs for your use, because when you idle it up say from 600 idle to 800 or so, it hits 14 volts. so maybe just that little bit faster spin will make up for what its lacking.... i was pulling around 400 amps. so i idled up no matter what. still do, your install is a bit different

ok heres the deal, i have a friend that competes in streetspl,. he started the season off with 4 SA 12s on 2 M3as and was doing great, then he stepped up to 4 soundlab 18's on 4 M3as and was whopping ass. the new season starts in january and hes looking to rebuild, he asked me to find him 9 SA 12s but im thinking to suade him into 9 Gcons, the thing is, he knows the SA12's he ran them before, and i have too, great subs, but the Gcon is new, but it priced around the same, and its a comparable woofer on paper, im looking for someone that has used both woofers, i dont want to talk this guy into getting something he may not be happy with then look at me like im an asshole., thanks guys.

i use ramdesigns, and i have a local guy here in san marcos that does all my wood work for me. hes cold. and proven i have been competing in usaci for 3 years and streetspl for 1, never had a box blow out, before i found him i was always sad from blow outs.

ill tell you this, i have went thru a few alternators on my road, and ill tell you i know for a fact right now i dont have enough battery for my load, and my mechman 6 phase has really delt with it, knock on wood no issues yet. and man. i have really been happy with mine,
