you never want to place a speaker that is connected to the amp on top of the amp like that.

im sorry.. if this sounds rude. that amp is worth more in scrap then it is repairing. that does no where NEAR its rated power. it will all so provide turn on and off thrump, but if you really want to spend 200 bucks on fixing a 20 dollar paper weight then DB-R electronics,. but i doubt he will even except the repair to be shipped to him .

if you have 1 sub that is hardly playing you need to take care of the wiring issue first.

could be a few things, somthing inside the coil gap like if it was not cleaned , the coil not being align inside the gap would cause it to rub the motor .. or a lose dust cap... with out hearing the sound its hard to say.. also things you mentioned can be aswell.

most days i feel i have it all figured out and know what im doing for the most part... but then there are days like today.. where i have no clue and i just want to SCREAM move and change my whole LIFE!
