understand that some alt companys rate thair RPM at the revalutions of the ALT pully its self.... not the RPM of the motor... understand what im trying to say?

Big Jon, what are the pros and cons of circuit breakers? pros. a 300 amp CB will trip right at 300 amps when working correctly. ( anl type 300 amp fuse will allow you to surge over 300 amps) they are easy to trip manualy when servicing your system they can be used over and over as aposed to a ANL type. cons. they will trip right at its rating when working properly!!! so somtimes that can be a bad thing lol. after then trip a few times they will trip lower then its rating.... somtimes heat a vibration will distroy them.. and they are spring loaded... and they can blow apart! like i said tho i used them ... and i enjoy them for my servise lines... in a daily type install.

i have never been able to find a CB bigger then 300 amps... and i have looked! i have ran CB's for years... and while they to catch alot of shit from people they are a great tool! although i have changed to a ANL between my bank and amp.. i still prefer them every where else.. IE.. in the front before my run to the rear cells... and in the rear before i enter my bank... dont bo quick to toss them to the side but please understand the pros and cons.

get your ipod or MP3 player and a set of mini to rca cables and check it out for sure... also check your fuse and your ground ....somtimes the fuse can be blown or bad and the light with still light up as it pulling from the remote wire... same goes for the ground.. it can be getting a small ground from the amp frame but not to the ground input.

i had a pully fucking rape my mind for like 4 months an a lincoln... every month i was buying a belt.. and cheanging diffrent shit like my idel pully and what not... but it turned out to be the pring size pully.. a little to small if i remember corectly.

i have done some " high end" local shop install redos with those amps... infact i think i may have posted them for sale on here after ripping them out from a car.. a bit overrated and over priced... in this install i did a direct swap from a ex 2500.1 to a kicker 2400.1 i belive and it was night and day!

i have had them.... and back in the 90's they were the best thing this side off the mississippi..... and i would only use one if i still listen to 90's rap and 90's freestyle..... and lastly used in good shape with the remote you can pull like 90 bucks off one on ebay..

dont wire that amp stright to the alt...... and dont try to use a cap as a cell either cause thats not what it is.
