i dont think a load will make any more resistance on a motor as its not like a a/c compresser where its pumping a piston its only a brush spinngin inside of a case.....dig it? but most cars do have a higher idel untill its warmed up... IE the idel air control along with the EGR those work somwhat in couple to make your F.I car stay running in a cold state.

correct... its not a "bass knob" its a remote gain .. so plug her in... turn the knob up... then set your gains. when the knob is all the way up... its only to yout highest setting on your amp.. no higher.. it only reduces the gain.

i always use my loud and my SLA>.......... you should ground the chassie of the head unit by removing a screw and placing a ground and then replacing the screw.. then be sire to ground the head unit as normal... and also besure that your amp is grounded really well.

im gonna go out on a limb here and say that it maybe be your head unit.... change it out if you have another or even just pull a friends head unit and run RCAs from his deck in his car to yout amps in your car....or even use an IPOD... pioneers have a ground fuse that pops when crazy things happen in the signel line..... check it out.. i could be wrong but its a start. keep us posted.

when my alt makes noise like that its the bearings.... and it happens one or twice a year depending on how much i drive.... in mycase its caused from heat... my alt pretty much stays on for the most part.. and heats the grease and makes it noisey. so it does happen.
