how long down the road, cause those two amps, are not keeping up with those BTL's

the sub is a good sub, Q is a nice sub, and that amp will power it fine. but i dont like the amp. it may power that sub fine. i just dont like hifonics. and i have never been a kenwood h/u fan. BL takes more power,.,, it will have moreoutput, but you will lose SOME SQ. not all but a little,

no. well i have had amps run off the remote power. but not a sub amp. you said its still knockin hard. so it has to be somehwere else or well some amps have two fuses one for left and one for right. if you blow one fuse it will still play but only half power, or so. that was an old MTX. i recall i was not talkina bout your main power in my first reply, i was talkina bout the option for your cd player to cut off your sub.

alright, so just use that money on that new ALT you were talkin about. and im guessing that you have all 0 gauge, and whatnot. are you gonna strap those 2 1500's when you get another?

yeah yeah i know on teh sony decks there is an option, that when you turn it down at a certin number it cuts the amp off. i have had a problem with the H/u not cacthing up fast enough or even cutting the amp off when ever it wanted. im sure it was a sony... i think..... it was years ago

Given the right install situation, impossible to say Who knows if that'd actually be the case, I don't know what his setup is like nor do I really care. ok thats true. maybe a trunk set up VS a SUV, a towncar, with 2 15's VS a SUV with a huge box and 4 15's sure... but i know towncars.. and i know for a fact that he is starving those 15's for air space.

nice build, i drive a truck aswell, and i have done a install in a frightliner, 4 12's under the bed inside the sleeper. it was not as nice as yours! i have a sub in my little wrecker ill have to upload some pics aswell! good deal

wiring I believe is done????????? you dont know if you had it done or not? and your installer should know about this kinda stuff. if not get a new one. 110 amp alt wont cut it. and it kinda seems like you might be trying to run that amp on a OEM system with like 10 gauge wiring kit or somthing

All valid points, but......... When the starting battery is low, the isolator cuts off the back batteries to recharge only the starting battery. You continue bumping, and all of a sudden (if you're pulling a lot of power), you rear battery voltage is down to 10v, and your amps shut off, or worse yet, you get the magic smoke, and can't figure out why. I've hooked DMMs up, and seen it happen, but cut it off before the voltage got down to critcal levels on the rear batteries. My advice for anyone is not to use one, and just don't bump with your car turned off. Besides, I need that extra amperage from the front battery to the amps....lol WORD
