  1. two 12s should be louder and still keep just about the same quality. Thats what I would go for.
  2. I want to see where you are with this now! I want to get a '11-'13 Grand Cherokee and wanted to see how this ended up!
  3. Gotcha...not doing it. The kickers were my old subs, and not as loud as the new 12s. I was just picking them up tomorrow to transport them to sell. And was wondering if i could hook them up real quick just for the day. Not a problem, thank you.
  4. I did, But I put in 2 subs for 4ohm and it came out as either 2ohm or 8ohm even tho it should be 1ohm...So I dont know what im doing there I guess. And I would be okay with running all 4 subs on 1ohm. 1700rms, it only needs 1600 (400 each sub) and maybe even at 2ohms but im afriad that might lower the bass with all the power its losing.
  5. I currently have 2 Sundown E-12s in the Trunk (Dual 4ohm) wired down to 1ohm on the amplifier. (1700rms at 1ohm) I am going to pick up my old Kicker CVR10s (Dual 2ohm) and put them in my backseats... Is there ANY way I can hook up the 2 10s to the amplifier for added bass? It would only be for a day or so, but just for fun. I just want to know how I should wire the 2 10s to get the most out of my amp. Thank you!

Dangercdv, Two 12's would be perfect in 4^ft! Anything smaller and you risk chuffing the woofers. So should I reverse mount just to be safe? to keep all 4 cubic feet?

I want to run 2 of these in a ported box with a 6 inch aeroport, tuned at 34hz. The box will be about 4cubes without displacement of the subs, is this good enough? I really want to run 2 15s but I am not sure about the airspace needed for that. These are crazy cheap!
  8. When I get an SUV yes, I still have another year tho. Im thinking either the Ford Explorer Sport, Jeep Cherokee, or Jeep Grand Cherokee
  9. I like the loudness of the store boxes, but I have allot of songs around 30hz, and I cant stand the way it sounds, so I will settle on the 32hz
  10. IT will be the Khaotic Dual 12s that they sell on this site, so I hope its good for that price.
  11. Would I be happy with 2 icon 12s in a khatoic enclosure in my next setup then, im sick of re buying.
  12. okay, so getting like, an 800rms subwoofer wont really give me much more? What is the point of buying 1000rms subwoofers and 2000 rms amp, if you can get like, 400rms subwoofers, and an 800 watt amp, and save a bunch of money that way. Serious question. Even tho, I myself really want to get big setups with tons of power.
  13. What I have right now.... 2 Sundown E-12s (400rms version) Hooked up to a 1700.1 Hifonics Amplifier at 1 ohm. Inside of a custom box made for the Ford Mustang Convertible, .9 each sub, sealed. Well, isnt that too much power? yes it is! So obviously the gain is way down. My question, Would I benefit from switching the subwoofers to something that can handle more power? The problem: If I do get new subwoofers, the mounting depth can be NO MORE than 6.5 inches.
  14. Here is my 720 rms Sony sound system in action. The volume is on 10 of 30 so it can get much louder than what the video shows, this is just a quick over view of the system.

2000 Mustang Convertible, sadly, only a V6. But aftermarket sound system (of course) Aftermarket: Dual Exhaust, Underbody LED lights, black racing stripe, Racing air filter, American Racing rims... might be more that im forgetting

Check out the video I made testing out the GoPro white! They are allot of fun, especially if you like making videos anything like this one, check it out! Any ideas on what else I can film with it? Also, I took a swamp tour and got some of it on camera too!
  19. awesome, icons it is!
  20. Okay, but my amp is only 1700rms, and the box is: http://store.soundsolutionsaudio.com/products/ported-dual-12-subwoofer-enclosure.html So icons? I could always get a new, more powerful amp as well. I am thinking about getting Icons now.
  21. well both are going in the back of an SUV and there really is no preference, I also want to have the ability to turn up and really impress but for the most part have a loud but quality sound system.
  22. il stick with something on the store I am leaning towards 2 12s, but I really dont know how well that 15 will perform.
  23. Where can I find a new one???
  24. Okay, I really do want good SQ too, I just love loud music, most of which is rap. So what do you think, 2 Gcon 12s. or 1 Xcon 15 I am not looking for hairtricks, (although that would be sick) I just want to have really loud bass that most normal people would consider "way to much" Xcon 15 - 1750 RMS or... the cheaper, but higher rms Death Penalty 15 - 2000 RMS I still have to say for just about the same room for the box, 2 Gcon 12s might give me allot more bass. And I could always upgrade to Icons and a better amp if I ever felt the need too.
  25. Do you think 1 Xcon 15 would out do the SA12s on the same power? I would get this enclosure http://store.soundsolutionsaudio.com/products/ported-single-15-subwoofer-enclosure.html maybe even get a better amp eventually that can push it further, but by then I might just upgrade to a Zcon in the same box.
