Go to a local car audio shop. They usually have a lot laying around, my shop just gave me the ones I needed.

One 12 is most likely not going to be louder than two 10's. As for securing the box I really wasn't kidding. Having something that heavy loose in the cabin is very dangerous.

I rarely see used DCON's for sale. They are already a steal in the SSA store.
It's a dangerous idea, unless you have a way to secure the enclosure
Sorry if I missed something but if you are talking 2.25 net why aren't you considering a 12" GCON? How much port area are you using to calculate the enclosure volume/tuning?

What coil configuration did you order? It will be cheaper to try to find an amp that does rated power @ 1 ohm.
One 6" is too small in my opinion.
There is no way you would hear the difference between 600 and 750 watts each. Plan on about a month, but they will be worth the wait. The would be a very good choice for that size sealed enclosure, with that amount of power. If you can stay on the bigger end of your range I would.
