To the ear off of the same power in a proper setup, probably not.
  2. Congrats man! Get some pics and videos up once you are done.
  3. Smd forum sucks. Just know that SSA forum is held to a higher standard. We try to be honest here and keep things open, rather than deleting everything and nut hugging.
  4. The IB3 is not a good option unless he plans on running IB. Fi SSD or the SSA GCON would be a great start. Buy a d4 and wire to 2 ohms then if you get the itch to upgrade add another and drop down to 1 ohm. Just be sure to set the gain properly.
  5. Awesome! Pricing looks nice too.
  6. Agreed. And this statement will most likely confuse the shit out of him, and doesn't make any sense.
  7. Hell yeah! DCON's moving some hair. More pics/vids please.
  8. I had the 1500 for a while. For the price of 135 shipped new with a warranty they are hard to beat when on a budget.
  9. When they cut the steak the Saw Stop is not installed.
  10. Holy shit that saw is cool.
  11. Sounds like a good idea. Tuned in to see the TL confirmation numbers.
  12. Good choices for the budget! What VC config do you plan on ordering?
  13. That is exactly who I thought of.
  14. I honest to god cant remember what they run. I have to agree with the circular saw though. We have a fairly high end table saw but find ourselves using the circular more often. We really only use the table saw to kerf.
  15. Thanks 4 info bro. It really helps to talk 2 someone who has both. Did you ever get both subs metered & what were your pros & cons on both? I have no complaints for the BL at all. But the XCON is one of my all time favorite drivers. It gets loud, low and sounds excellent. I have had many many subs over the past few years (Fi, SSA, JL, Image Dynamics, Sundown, Arc, Rockford, Alpine, Boston Acoustics, and many more) I can honestly say that the BL and the XCON are in my top 5 with the XCON ahead for my taste.
  16. You cant call fi. Lol. Emails so far unanswered. All I want is a recone kit. And wondering how come there is not an option for ordering the 4 inch coil bl. Who did you email? When?
  17. I would lean toward the XCON or BL as I have owned and been happy with both of them. The XCON is just a bit better sounding in my opinion. Either setup should be loud if it is a good enclosure.
  18. Haha as if the video wasn't enough the top comment made me crack the hell up. "That nigga gonna wake up tomorrow with NO FEMALE FRIENDS on his Facebook page... ROFL!"
  19. How much port are does the enclosure have? Is it braced properly? You can't just throw new subs in and expect good results. Knowing the volume and tuning doesn't tell us enough.
  20. Get two DCON twelves or a fifteen and a cheap audiopipe amp, and build your own box.
  21. Amen!
