how many dbs does the cake hit?
  3. word for word, great job
  4. Should be a tiny bit louder then his previous setup
  5. Ive owned subs with "poor sound quality" and herd sound quality subs...when the volume is turned up it makes no diff what sub you have if the enclosure it is in (vehicle\room not box) rattles to all hell anyway. If you are not going for all out sound quality i would not split hairs over drivers. get one that is priced well, handles the power you want to use and is priced in your range. Im sure im going to be eaten alive for that statement esp made on this of all forums but lets see if anyone else shares my opinion. I am by no means saying that a SPL driver will sound as good as a SQ driver but when you start getting to the point stuff rattles as long as the sub has "decent" sound quality i cant see the average person telling the diff. Im talking everyday installs here folks.
  6. Crunch GP Pro? If it were, then it wouldnt be the amps fault at all
  7. i blame the terminals
  8. you should look up about the amp he is asking about. It makes rated power, some tests have shown rated some have show slightly less but either way they make power.
  9. Im pretty sure i know where that ixl came from .....and as for the amp..if im right naming it is against the laws of car audio..thats how bad it is. If im right it was my cousin and he would not listen to me i tried alot!
  10. Depending on the unit grounding the wire works just fine. But apparently some of the units require a bypass modual u would have check to when you decide what unit you want.
  11. i like the jvc's and kenwoods for their options the most, the removable screens are pretty nice, alpine however is the king of addons but they are pricey. Clarion has some nice units this year as well with nice addons. However..i want the sony one
  12. Wired the last few of them up and gave it a bit of a test run. Disappointed with the results, My rear view mirror fell off and broke my dvd player. So didnt get to play much. Seemed to get loud though
  13. Im not too sure if they are made to be a daily battery or not check termpro maybe
  14. Was going to cost me 203 Canadian IIRC to get an AMP shipped from japan to Central Canada
  15. maybe he does bass race, or likes it really loud
  16. Thats odd, i got an email back from ohio very fast. but ohio does answer their phones everytime and i know they prefer it
  17. z1 is what 3000 watts? Im not too fimil with the new ones but the old ones took quite a bit more then they were rated at. I would think it would be pushing it close, for the average person i think it would be okay. Just watch the cooling
  18. Oh the mj's own the low's their is no question about that. and for that price, yuo can buy a bunch!
  19. I was using normal police stats for a reason though. You are obviously correct not alot of them practice, i can say the same for normal gun owners. However with SWAT and other forms of emergancy response units, they are highly trained more so then 99.99 percent of gun owners and people in general. But that aside. They are going into every situation with full intent to shoot. They are 100 percent ready when they are going to be using their guns. The average joe using it for self defence could be drawing from the holster like police. Or scrambling to find it when someone breaks into his house. You are scared, adrenaline is flowing your fingers do not have the dexterity anymore. You have a very high chance of missing shots. Hell i have been in situations where i cannot even use my keys let alone do anything complicated. And yes police on average are not the greatest shots, but when it does come to having to fire i bet they are alot more clam then a normal person would be who is a better shot then they are due to the nature of their everday job.
  20. id say more rounds the better, look at police shootings (because they are what we have most data on) it is very common for them to put the first 1-2 rounds in the ground and then miss several more with a target being very close to them. So i say more the round the better!
  21. No pics of the test fit, we ended up moving them forward more, so instead of having a few feet behind my seats before the box starts. They are now directly behind my headrest.

21 shots of anything but beer or water in a row you are going to messed up something awful in just a little bit after that... yeah but doing them off hot girls, makes it much better plus if your already on your way to being drunk, ull find the 21 "hot" girls alot easier
  23. The seemingly random hole on the back is not for cooling of the woofer. I talked to ben and he informed me that the random hole at the back is actually used to cool his new flux capacitor(located under the back plate) , it is smaller then the original and uses neodymium not plutonium. Instead of kicking in at 142km\hr (88 miles per hour) It kicks in at 142DB. It seems ben has solved time travel the only problem is, his driver will never produce 142 db. So dont plan on making a trip the grassy knoll just yet.
  24. I herd das boot plays down to 10hz or so. Not nearly as low as 2 and 4 though
  25. did you put a suprise in one of them?
