It's not discontinued, plans for the next version are in the works, but production is pushed back a while. But, we have a number of Dcon's in stock right now, so if you are interested in them, don't hesitate as we don't know how long it may be until the Dcon is back. The current Dcon is excellent and one of the best offerings in its market segment without question. SQ wise, the Dcon and Gcon are both excellent. The Dcon's sound signature is a little tighter and present, where as the Gcon is a little more passive in presence and effortless. So sound similarities are easily described as the Gcon is an Icon lite, and the Dcon is the Xcon lite.

I don't know what baskets he uses, so I am not sure how well they line up with our subs. We offer baskets as an option with our recones on the SSA Store.

Well at the moment, the new daily driver is untouched, but some of what was in the SSA SQZOOMZOOMMAZDA wagon will make it into this car.

880PRS, Fountek FR89s, Ascendant Carbons, Zed Ra, Audio Control Matrix, Zed Draconia, Zed Minilith, SSA Icon 18 sealed with more SDS than any other Mazda period. Such a warm and clean sound for not having an external processor.

The current Dcon enclosure suggestions are nearly identical, so you can use those.

That is a little on the smaller side port wise. If you need a custom designed enclosure, we do have that service on the SSA store.
